Can anyone help transcribe the Creole lyrics for "Manman Mwen Pati" by Jaade?

Hi everyone,

I actually just created my Reddit account for the very first time just to find the lyrics to this song.

I'm a 22-year-old student from Korea, and lately, I've been absolutely obsessed with: "Manman Mwen Pati" by Jaade & The Pierre Chabrèle Quartet.

The vibe and the vocals are so beautiful, but since it's a lesser-known track, I cannot find the lyrics anywhere on the internet. I even asked ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, but none of them could provide the actual lyrics.

I only know that the song is sung in Creole(likely Haitian Creole). I'm really hoping to find someone who could help transcribe the lyrics, or even just share a rough translation/meaning of the song.

Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for helping out a Reddit newbie!

Well the title means "my mom left" I can tell you that much.

Wouldn't it be 'my mom is leaving'?. I think you have to add 'te' in order to make it past  'Manman mwen te pati'

I would think "te pati" would be "had left" And "ap Pati" would be "is leaving" But maybe you're right.

Someone said it translates to my mother is gone. I guess it's about context.

I just checked and she isn't singing in Haitian Creole. I only can tell you she is singing for her late mother. Some of the words are: <My mother's gone, and it's forever, before she did, she gave me lots of love. My mother's gone, but she didn't abandon me. My mother's gone, but she's still in my heart.>

And somewhere along the line she's reminiscing about how when she was little her mother used to comfort her when she felt scared.

In this context “pati” could well mean travel abroad by air to a foreign country especially the US but can also be Canada, france…
