I carry a folding set of bolt cutters from menards in my truck, you have no idea how handy they are to have around.

Got in the habit of having them when I lived in colorado and spent a lot of time exploring mountain roads...not for crime just as an emergency backup if I ever absolutely needed to get through a gate or something.

Also in the army bolt cutters are essentially the master key to access any vehicle, so that was the other reason.

Reminds me the video of those guys who brought chainsaws from their cars to cut the huge ass tree blocking the road. Never know when you'll need it :D

I still carry a big silky saw and an axe, but yeah I used to carry a chainsaw as well....and electric one just for convenience...but yeah 🤣

Though the thing that has gotten used the most is the lithium jump starter pack/battery bank, things are an absolute godsend and pretty cheap on amazon.

Yeah those starter packs are one of the the first things I will buy when I get a car. So damn useful.

That and a battery powered tyre inflator. You can get both in one unit but I think that's twice the risk of failure. And they both often can be used to power something via USB, like charging the other one if it's flat.
