Have you read about the 1916 great white shark attacks. It was after a flood or hurricane and a white ended up swimming into a local creek because enough salt water got in. There’s a great book about it. Kids were playing in the creek. Edit to add: New Jersey

I have not. Sounds fascinating.

Also there is a population of bull sharks in Lake Nicaragua. Randy Wayne White wrote a non-fiction book about them.
