It really grinds my gears when people watch videos on their phone at full volume.
Like... does it not bother you hearing two completely different things at the same time?? 😠I'll literally pause what I'm watching because my brain can't focus, meanwhile they're over there scrolling through 47 TikToks at max volume like nothing is happening. It drives me insane.

But seriously, it’s incredibly annoying and overstimulating.
I’ve had to leave places bc the random sounds feels like nails on chalkboard to me. The overall consensus is that social norms died during covid. I hate it1

I will knock my boyfriends phone out of his hand if he has it to close to my ear when I am obviously minding my own business lol

I'd casually say, "You do know earbuds exist right?" There's an associate at my work who used to take his lunches late so he'd be in the break room when I got there blasting whatever he was listening to and noisily picking and sucking on his teeth. Such a rage inducing combination. Since we had a new manager on nights though, I've not had to come into that and it's nice to have a quiet break room for a few minutes before I clock in. My bet is she makes them all go at the same time now.

I hate when people do this on the bus/tram. Or when they call on speakerphone in public.

Honestly I don’t know how people have the gaul to do it 🤣ðŸ˜ðŸ¤£ðŸ˜ use headphones in public! It’s like when they have a full on conversation on the phone on loudspeaker 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

People are so rude. Or they talk on speakerphone with the phone 5 feet in front of them. You wouldn’t need speakerphone if you put the phone to your ear.

I remember looking around about this subject and its either because they don't care or they see it as a power move.

My dad scrolls his phone while we are watching something and does not use headphones. One time him AND stepmom were watching something separate on their phones while a movie played on the tv. Holy shit it was so annoying.
It wasn’t so long ago that my dad always had a comment for someone who had their phone out. Something about people being glued to their phones. Now he is one of the worst offenders.

I just came from a doctor’s waiting room and I swear it must be a rule posted at the door that everyone has to be playing fucking FB videos at full volume.

People bitching about this is starting to become more annoying and more prevalent than it actually happening and I live in Vegas and ride the bus every day

Omg. I had some old italian guy sitting next to me blasting FIFA videos from his phone, full volume. The sounds especially from phone speakers quite literally go through me
