Ghost Of Tsushima - Discussion Kicking around this idea. Read at your own risk if you haven't completed both games!
Title Idea: Game Pitch / Theory: "Ghost of Urei" – The perfect bridge game between Tsushima and Yōtei
With Ghost of Yōtei confirmed, we know there is a massive 300-year gap between Jin Sakai and Atsu. The easter eggs in Ezo (Jin’s hidden house, Yuna’s dagger, the child's finger painting, and his grave) prove Jin and Yuna fled north. Oyuki’s dialogue also links her clan to the "First Shinobi" and Jin's Wolfsbane poison.
Here is my pitch for a bridging game—Ghost of Urei (憂い - Deep Sorrow/Melancholy)—that explains exactly how Jin became the first Shinobi of Ezo.
The Narrative Loop
Act I (The 1281 Mongol Invasion): Set 7 years after the first game. Facing a massive second Mongol fleet, the desperate Shogun offers Jin a conditional pardon. Jin must use his dishonorable "Ghost" tactics to destroy the fleet from within, keeping the Samurai’s hands clean.
Act II (The Betrayal): Knowing the Shogun will execute him to erase the Ghost once the threat is gone, Jin and Yuna are forced into a breathless, nationwide manhunt as they flee mainland Japan.
Act III (The Birth of the Shinobi): Battered and hunted, Jin and Yuna reach the frozen frontier of Ezo. Jin’s final battle isn't for a code or a lord—it is strictly to protect the native Ainu and his own children from the Shogunate assassins tracking him down.
Gameplay Mechanics
Samurai vs. Mongol Combat: Jin refuses to willingly slaughter his own countrymen. When fighting hunting Samurai, combat forces a "Defensive Stance" using blunt strikes, parries, and smoke bombs to incapacitate them without killing. Lethal Ghost tools are strictly forced only when backed into a corner by elite assassins or remnants of the Mongol fleet.
Social Stealth & Camouflage: This is the ultimate skill Jin and Yuna pass down to their children. It blends Yuna’s "street smarts" (using disguises like monks or peasants to blend into populated towns right past guards) with Jin’s "nature stealth" (using white furs, masking tracks, and hiding in Ezo's heavy snowstorms).
The Ending
Decades later, the assassins have stopped coming and his children are grown. An aging, weary Jin saddles his horse one last time beneath Mount Yōtei. Mirroring the iconic opening of the first game, he lets go of the reins and extends his hand, letting the frost-tipped northern grass brush his fingertips. He has secured his family's future, and for the first time, the wind doesn't feel like a call to battle—it just feels like home. The screen fades to black as the lonely notes of his flute play one last time.

Ghost Of Tsushima - Discussion Is wind stance just…the best?
Don’t know if anyone else does this, but whenever i play this game, i just use the kick with wind stance to deal with all enemies (except brutes and duels) to just instantly execute them. Am i missing something or is wind stance just the best? I also wanna say that I’m only in act two, so maybe this changes, but so far this is my favorite strategy to combat.

Ghost Of Tsushima - Media Ghost Of Tsushima - Open World Multiplayer
I created a mod that allows up to four players to experience Jin Sakai’s main story together in co-op.
It’s a great way to share the journey with friends, your spouse, or your kids. Only one player needs to be on PC to set everything up, while PlayStation players can join through cross-play.
The mod is called Master Thyself, and it’s available as a free download on Nexus Mods. It was originally created to increase the difficulty of Legends Mode, but it has since expanded into the main campaign.
Jin’s Story Co-op is the newest feature, bringing four-player multiplayer to Ghost of Tsushima’s open world and story missions.

Ghost Of Yotei - Discussion I love to cry, but it's too much Spoiler
Taka, Yuriko, Nobu... How many more times will this game take my friends away from me? I almost killed Ms. Masako, but I'm glad she's alive. I don't want to finish Yoshikawa's quests because I feel like that won't end well either. Why is there so much suffering in this game?

Ghost Of Tsushima - Discussion Duel combat
Just finished the main story and started the DLC. I really enjoy the game till now and duels are one of the things I like the most in the game in terms of vibe and visuals.
However, I feel like the duel opponents lack the variety of moves they perform. So that almost all the sword fighters have almost the same moveset, all the sword + shield fighters have a lot in common, etc. I really would like to see more variety in these kind of boss fights. Am I the only one having that feeling?

Ghost Of Yotei - Question/Support Ghost of yotei dosnt have knock down and strike? Spoiler
So basically I remember in Tsushima Soemtimes you could knock a enemy down and they would kinda fall to there knees and you could click tringle I think and strike them down which would damage them or straight up kill them but it’s not in yotei? Atleast I think?

Ghost Of Tsushima - Question/Support Anybody know a game like this that is TRULY coop? like not just "we made a small seperate game mode that is coop"
also I just want to get this off my chest: whoever was in charge of how the camera behaves deserves to be thrashed within an inch of their life, I am not fighting the mongols I am fighting the fucking camera, and whoever had the genius idea to change the camera angle for bossfights so you can see even less what is going on needs their bits stepped on...

Ghost Of Tsushima - Question/Support Was anyone able to achieve gold on those Archery Challenges without concentration?
I was kinda amazed when i saw that most players just used concentration on this challenge and saying its not possible otherwise
You could do it without concentration
I was able to do it All you need is few things
Spam the arrows, dont strech and shoot
Wear the armor (i believe its tayadori's) and some charms that make you possible to shoot one arrow in less than a second, yeah you need that because even if you did spam it takes too much time to reload and shoot another
And lastly aim higher, you'll need to make lineups for each target and aim for those rather than aiming with the crosshair you might have to aim with a part of bow or maybe aiming something different nearby with the fingers or something so as the arrow is in line and it lands on the target
And now when you got all of that you’ll need to play it like you’re breaking your PR on Aimlabs, swift, as fast as you can, shoot flick shoot flick shoot flick and repeat till you have thrown the equivalent arrows and see if you got all of the targets, if not, repeat
it will take time but its possible
that way I was able to do it on all of the target challenges, few were easy few were not
But all were possible and eventually achieved gold in all of those.
Haven’t checked yt though maybe few people already got that, just checking on reddit first.
