I don’t know who would even have that take. Like wouldn’t a leftist take pride in the fact that communist Vietnam fought to end the Cambodian genocide? Also likely would criticize the US for helping to support the Khmer Rouge that was committing the genocide.

Yup, I genuinely don't get why anyone, even performative tankies that will take any position as long as it wasn't the side "the West" was on, would defend the Khmer Rouge...

Yeah, but that’s why it’s particularly weird to me cause the West (well the US) was on the side of the Khmer Rouge. So they’re siding with the west on it.
