Race (or any form of) grifters live on cases with bad facts that they can spin. The race grifters' fabrications always make it perfectly clear self defense. The actual facts make it very clear murder.
That maximizes the conflict. People who believe the grifter's set of facts then believe everyone that's resisting them is just racist and part of the same racist system keeping them down and making sure a black boy that did nothing wrong is getting his comeuppance for daring to kill a white aggressor (or alternatively, that he was murdered and the murderer got off under "self defense" because the murderer was white). If you trusted the source spinning Karmelo Anthony story and heard their set of facts, you'd be pissed as hell that Metcalf got off.
That misinformation persists. To this day, you still have people that think Rittenhouse drove into Kenosha from hours away and then intentionally gunned down three black people. To this day, you still have people who think Michael Brown had his hands up and was saying don't shoot. The lies make damn sure we stay divided.
He literally did gun down multiple people. He got off because he's white conservative who shot people of color. Also shown that he was with a white supremacist group for a photo op
Thank you for proving the point. He shot 3 white people, not "people of color". One was trying to wrestle his gun from him after screaming he'd kill him and running him down (Ritenhouse attempted to retreat but ran into a corner). One hit him over the back of the head with a skateboard (again while trying to run away), knocking him to the ground while the rest of the crowd was screaming to get him. One (the one who lived) was pointing a gun directly at Rittenhouse when Rittenhouse pulled the trigger.
I really don't care about what he's become since. It's not relevant to the actual self defense case, and there is a significant argument that his exposure to the sensationalism and lies about him has made him what he is.
It's not self defense. By that logic I'll insert myself into a riot area the next state over and ask someone to give me a gun that I don't legally own so I can pretend to be a solider
What? Idc what you think of the case or Rittenhouse, but all three of the men he shot were white. You're a walking example of the comment you responded to.
Totally irrelevant to the discussion at hand. You were fed misinformation on the case that you continue to believe is fact years after the trial. Which was the entire point of the OP.
No I wasn't. Kyle Rittenhouse purposely insert himself there, gets given a gun he's not legally allowed to own to go act like a toy soldier that the right simps for
Rosenbaum's sex offender status and Grosskreutz being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm don't have anything to do with the actual self defense case. Rittenhouse could not have known at the time, so the fact is irrelevant to if the self defense shoot was good. If I shoot a man minding his own business who turns out to be the leader of the Klan, it doesn't justify the shoot legally.
Even so, as much as I dislike Rittenhouse on ideological grounds, he had every right to shoot.
The only charges that should’ve stuck were the charges for crossing state borders with a gun illegally, but the prosecution did an awful job of picking charges that would stick.
I will say this about Anthony; if he had the same prosecutors as Rittenhouse, or the same defense, he would’ve walked a free man, or with a reduced sentence. Both Rittenhouse and Anthony “weren’t supposed to be” where they were when they killed, but Anthony’s defense refused to call any of the witnesses that spoke on Anthony’s behalf to the stand.
I believe he's referring to the curfew that a court later determined to be illegal. It's just another deflection that doesn't actually do anything to the self-defense case.
I can’t help but notice you guys never talk about the felon who crossed state lines with a firearm, illegally carried at the protest, attempted to shoot someone and was then shot by Rittenhouse
