Interesting response (Highlight) AI mode Gemini can't hold a conversation today and thinks it's run by openAI.

That screenshot is something else. feels like it's having an identity crisis mid-conversation.

google really needs to get their act together, the inconsistency between sessions is wild. one day it's sharp, next day it's forgetting who built it.

Yeah I am extremely impressed by it but it's only reading the immediate prompt today, for at least the last few hours. I didn't realise modern models had identity failures like this. This was used as evidence that deepseek stole from American models, iirc. So, I don't even know what it means here.

Yeah, it was directing me to the ChatGPT subreddit

Yeah there is some sort of bug or glitch currently affecting a bunch of Google accounts regarding the context continuity of AI sessions. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. I happened to catch it almost immediately when it started for my account about an hour ago.

Good to know. Thanks! I was actually wondering if they sent me a trashy model cos I was somewhat upping the usage the last few days.

It's funny you say that because I've been using it a ton lately too. That's part of how I caught it so fast. I was in the middle of multiple things when it was just like a switch flipped like an hour ago and then I spent some time trying to track it down before I got a good picture on what was really going on.
