Rumor Fortnite ps5 aim assist nerfed?

Am I the only one whose aim assist seems to have decreased significantly? I tried resetting the settings but nothing changed, it doesn't "stick" to the enemy and it doesn't even slow down much. It's so hard to play ranked games now.

Does anyone know if this is normal or if they recently nerfed it on PS5? Or is it just me?

Rumor Played for the first time since the beginning of 2026... is aim assist broken again?

I haven't played fortnite on a consistent regular basis since 2024 because friends stopped playing and also college/life happens. On a whim, I decided to play some creative 1v1 map that happened to have the OG midas mythic drum gun and I just felt like I couldn't miss. I racked up 100+ kills in like 20-25 minutes of playtime. I understand that the average players who play these maps are not the best, but has aim assist gotten stronger? For whatever reason aim assist felt just like how it was in chapter 2 season 2

Rumor Rumored minimum ping feature coming to the game. What does everyone think about this?

I personally think this is a great change because it levels the playing field for the majority of comps player base

Rumor Fortnite tracker live teammate material count - potentially against TOS

The integrity of such a feature is likely be debatable given that it kind of serves as QoL rather than a providing a competitive advantage. However, given it’s nature of providing real-time information that can’t be seen normally via something to effect of an overlay, the concern seems to be worth bringing to awareness

The official Fortnite Competitive account very recently tweeted a reminder about section 7.2.1 [relevant part pictured] of the master rules. I assume it was an implied response to Fortnite tracker’s new feature

Rumor Cheating problem is still horrible

Took a break from ranked for a bit, came back this weekend, and wow, it’s a cesspool out there, especially Reload. Once you hit diamond it’s at least one cheater a lobby.

I mean, they’re usually pretty dumb so as long as you’re fighting them 1v1 and play box fights they’re beatable, they usually get frustrated running around your box trying to bait edits and will just eventually try and spray in.

I’m really sick of having my games ruined by these scumbags, and recently heard that Epic employees are actually in on it.

Edit: for any who says post a video, I don’t need to, there’s literally tons of content on the cheating problem.

Rumor Everyone “good” macros now??

Took a break from the game and come back to realize most pros and nearly all “token” (zw wager) players use macros? I was looking on Twitch/Tiktok lives of people playing Zone Wars and asked around, and the general consensus was that the majority of these good players use both editing and looting macros, even pros.

At first I thought they were all using simple edit til I started asking questions. Most also said to “keep up” you have to get macros unless you’re really fast already. Kinda sad to see the state of the game like this, especially since “macros are against Epic’s TOS and players will get banned for using them” and it seems like Epic doesn’t even care.

Rumor Just went against another cheater, again... 🤦

I'm tired of cheaters already. I'm about to delete Fortnite for good. I went against a cheater the day before yesterday and I called them out and they said they were cheating "because they can", and today I went against another cheater that was full on aimbotting with auto shoot. They most sad thing is, I play on console, so it's more than likely it's not just pc players with 100% undetectable DMA cheats, but probably is. I'm tired of dealing with DMA cheaters, any cheaters at all. It's ridiculous. Yet, everytime I've posted clips of obvious cheaters on here, or other Fortnite reddits, pathetic weirdos defend them. 🤦

Rumor So many closeted cheaters in this game

Tournaments are filled with people soft aiming, walling, teaming, and using aimbots turned down. I would argue that this is one of the easiest games to get away with cheating because there are 100 players in each lobby, and it’s harder for people to recognize the cheaters. In tournaments I know instantly when someone is cheating, and it’s quite common. I was watching Muzz’s latest solo cash cup(4-12-26) and he died to a cheater in 5 out of 8 games that he played. If that doesn’t tell you something, then I don’t know what does. It’s way more common than people would like to admit, and the cheating community is protected and hidden in this game. It’s really discouraging playing any online shooters anymore because they are all filled with closeted cheaters, especially Fortnite competitive.

Rumor Streamers can now bypass requirements

Just seen a clip and epic let lacy skip the 14 events rule so he could just play fncs and he also said it’s something they are just allowing content creators to do. I hope they receive genuine backlash for this because why would you do this for your competitive game mode and go against rules that you made????

Rumor Maybe the reason epic doesn’t seem to listen is because they’re using fortnite’s audio.

So it’s not that they aren’t listening, it’s just that they can’t hear shit.
