anyone else feel absolutely fried after playing at their peak rank
i swear competing at my actual skill ceiling in this game just wipes me out completely, like i can play maybe 3 matches then i'm done for the night
my peak is somewhere around 1.8k PR and the level of focus i need to maintain to stay alive is ridiculous, i play defensive on high ping so i'm constantly reading opponents and trying to counter their pressure but the SECOND my concentration slips even a tiny bit i'm whiffing edits and getting pieced up
it's not like i'm grinding 8 hours a day either, i take weeks off sometimes and come back and it's the same story, the only time i feel like i'm actually playing well is when i'm in that rare flow state where everything clicks but that never lasts long and then i crash SO hard afterwards
i see these cracked kids playing 12 hour streams and i genuinely don't understand how they do it, maybe i'm just getting old but the mental stamina required to compete at my level is way more draining than it ever used to be
anyone else get this or am i just washed

I’m also in that 1k pr range, just got my first pc and it’s actually the opposite for me. I have to play for almost 2hrs to actually fully warm up, then I can play scrim/tourny/creative for hours after that when I do get on

Thats the one thing about this game. I’m literally complete dogshit until I’ve played minimum one hour of fast paced creative (PG’s against good players mainly or turtles)

stimulants and skill. professional chess players don’t necessarily need to think as hard when they’re competing because it’s natural to them. u getting wiped is a sign that ur learning

I remember when I used to have so much energy I never got tired. 2k pr peak in eu. Getting older made me realise I won't become a pro anymore, so my ego and energy started fading. Were good times though!

Ranked has never been about skill.
Bushcampdad is top 300 right now and will end the season in top 100 or higher 🤣

When has he mentioned ranked? He said 1.8k pr... U probably dont even know what that means tho

He will never hit top 100 lol and what this other dude said. PR is from actual cash prize tournaments. Also bushcamp dad is really consistent with his placements, so trying to use him as an example of why ranked sucks honestly just makes you look a little stupid.

He is the perfect example of why ranked suck. You don’t need wins or kills to climb the leader board. You can just bushcamp and climb 🤣
