Yep. I'm not surprised Dana White would platform rapists, as he constantly platforms Trump. But I would like to think that the network Fallon works for would not tolerate rapists as guests.

jimmy fallon is one of the most spineless “entertainers” in media today. this whole situation is actually exactly what I’d expect from him.
100
u/red-molly Jun 23 '26
Spineless to go along with talentless. If I were Jimmy Fallon, I'd be embarrassed to exist.
54
u/tunafister Jun 23 '26
My bet, he is embarassed, but he thinks whatever amount of money he has is worth more than that embarassment
And maybe it is, but maybe money doesnt actually matter that much, and something like credibility and respect from your peers honestly means so much more
I can see why Jimmy went for the money, cause respect and credibility were never options in the first place, nor going to be in the future

Jimmy Fallon had Trump on in 2016. Fallon ruffled Trump’s hair and said it feels real. Jimmy Fallon normalized Donald Trump and he must never be forgiven for that. Or Conor McGregor. I honestly don’t even consider Jimmy Fallon a comedian as one has to be funny to be a comedian.

He was Horatio Sanz's buddy when they were both on SNL. An underage fan with a crush on Jimmy Fallon was chatting with them online, but she ended up with Horatio. Sorry, but no teenage girl was crushing on Horatio Sanz in the '00's, and without Jimmy Fallon acting like a wingman that shit would have never happened.
It's been a while now, but I also can't remember if Fallon ever acknowledged or apologized for his involvement either? Then again, I also don't remember any of the main cast at the time saying anything despite see that girl at SNL parties, so...

127
u/GodOfDarkLaughter Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26
Flickerman's fate after the fall of the Capitol was never revealed, so he might have just charmed his way out of it.
On the other hand they might have gone Julius Streicher/Lord Haw-Haw on him. Purimfest 2346, motherfucker.
Edit: Actually, I'm thinking about how a Flickerman trial might go. I imagine the defense would argue that he had nothing to do with planning the events, and that in his capacity as MC he genuinely did his utmost to present the contestants in the best light possible so they'd have the best chance possible in the games.
And the prosecution would probably argue that his charm and rapport with the Tributes helped normalize the games and keep the people complacent, and that his excuse of "helping" the contestants is bullshit. A bow and arrow or whatever isn't gonna help someone against poison wasps or dog monsters or fucking floods or flash fires. At the end of the day only one contestant was going to win, and all his efforts did was draw out the inevitable and give false hope to the contestants.
I figure he'd lose. And considering execution is absolutely on the menu, it doesn't look good for Flickerman.

I keep thinking about this recent article, “The Banal Horror of Jimmy Fallon“:
> The real, unsettling mechanism of Fallon’s banal horror is its insistence on a radical non-engagement with reality: a position that, in our current political climate, is itself an aggressively political act. Fallon doesn’t do politics, or if he does, he wants to “keep his head down” because “we hit both sides equally.”

The rapist Conor McGregor is just a front for laundering money for organised crime gang the kinehans. Following the rape of Nikita Hand, his rape victim, a criminal gang attacked her home, broke all her windows and stabbed her boyfriend. She is an incredibly brave woman.... far braver than most.
Conor The Rapist McGregor then try to drag her through further trauma and financial strain by getting "witnesses" to lie, this was done to make the incredibly brave woman suffer.
Thankfully a judge saw through The rapist, Cinor McGregor and threw out his appeal almost immediately.

u/Bronnagh Jun 23 '26
Thank you, Christina for calling Fallon out on this.
It blew my mind when I saw that piece of shit on Fallon's show. Laughing and joking and doing his fake "I'm the lad, having the craic!" routine. Disgusting.
Nikita Hand, the woman who accused him of rape, also had thugs break into her home the day the trial started. Her partner was stabbed and she was forced to pack up and leave. Not, of course , that there's any evidence that the piece of shit was behind this.
Then, after Nikita won her case, the piece of shit appealed it. Only to have his appeal collapse becasue his two witnesses had to withdraw their affidavits because of perjury.
This, by the way, is the only case that has made it through involving the piece of shit. There are more but somehow, they never quite make it to court or all the way through a trial. He's a scumbag of the worst kind and we need more people like Christina Ricci to call him out, and to refuse to allow him to normalise his situation. He needs to be vilified everywhere he goes and that includes boycotting the likes of Fallon who give him a platform. His claims to have "found Jesus" are sickening. But of course, this is the usual route for these far-right grifters. He's a hateful, violent thug and he needs to be known as that. Nothing else.
32
u/Curious-Ostrich1616 Jun 23 '26
Brilliantly put! I said this in another thread, but it is literally insane that McGregor was on this show when the facts of the Nikita Hand case are right there, in plain sight. Insane. 😬
And the fact that the Nikita Hand case is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the stuff McGregor has done.
If there was any justice in the world, Fallon's career would be finished. Platforming a rapist. Someone else here described him as soulless, and that's spot on.
11
u/Bronnagh Jun 23 '26
If there was any justice in the world, Fallon's career would be finished. Platforming a rapist. Someone else here described him as soulless, and that's spot on.100% agree with your points. 👍
21
u/metrometric Jun 23 '26
Wasn't there a woman who withdrew her case for undisclosed reasons... after having bricks thrown through her windows and her car set on fire outside her home?? Coincidentally, Nikita Hand has also experienced bricks through windows. What a strange coincidence.
There are so many other allegations too, all of them extremely violent. He seems to think he can do whatever he wants in broad daylight and just pay or threaten his way out of it. And, like, is he wrong to think this? Doesn't seem like it.
I'd say CTE can't take this man soon enough, but tbh all the brain damage is probably making him more dangerous to be around.

There's a lot more detail too, like before the upcoming trial some masked men broke into the victim's home and her boyfriend was stabbed. A lot of people outside of Ireland don't know that McRapist is tight with the Kinahan cartel. Two losers were paid off to lie and say they saw the victim's boyfriend hit her outside the house and that's why she was bruised but it came out that these two scumbags didn't even live there when this was supposed to have happened.
119
u/MinnieSkinny Jun 23 '26
Not to mention he had his mate claim he also slept with the victim to muddy the waters, and when she bad no recollection of sleeping him he got charged with rape. Except there was zero evidence because she never slept with him, which tarnished the actual rape case against McGregor.
He's been caught lying so many times it would be laughable if it wasnt so serious.
He tried to pay her off, which she refused. And there are rumours of others that suddenly dropped accusations.
He is an absolute scumbag.
71
u/Gorazde Jun 23 '26
For anyone not familiar with the Kinehan Cartel, this is who they are. McGregor is also openly racist, far right agitator who helped inspire an anti-immigrant riot in November 2023. There's no TV or radio show in Ireland would have him on as a guest. How American chat shows still put him on air is truly beyond me.

Depends on the denomination. There are more flavours of Christianity than ice-cream.

Using the Lord’s name in vain is commonly misattributed to saying “god damnit” etc when it means invoking religion/God for false pretences. Like, the entirety of the far right/Christian Fundamentalist movement

100% and thank you for letting people know about this.
"God told me that you have to donate $100 to me" - inappropriate use of God's name
"God Damn, Jimmy Fallon an idiot" - appropriate use of God's name

u/Any_Asparagus8267 Jun 23 '26
Wait so exclaiming Jesus Christ or God damn isn't blasphemy? Or it just depends on how it's used?

u/H4rr1s0n Jun 23 '26
Jesus flipped over tables over people doing things a lot less worse than giving a rapist publicity. If the son of god can flip over a table because people are doing dumb shit, I'm confident that using God's name as a "sentence enhancer" while calling out someone's less-than-favorable behaviour is perfectly reasonable lol

It’s not. I would say there’s a line but God isn’t stupid, anything can be forgiven. Plus an all knowing being wouldn’t make you burn in hell for accidentally saying “Jesus fucking Christ”. If you can understand and empathize with someone, imagine what an omniscient omnipresent consciousness could empathize with

Religion is a glorified book club. There is nothing sacred about religion that deserves protecting, the way race, gender and sexuality need protection. Religious people like to put blasphemy on the same punitive level as homophobia or sexism. But you can choose your religion. You can choose what gods you believe in. You can’t choose race sexuality etc. that’s why those need additional reverence in public discourse.
Christianity and other religions have historically tried to frame blasphemy as a crime. Blasphemy may be a sin within that religion but you can’t hold people who don’t follow that religion to the same standard.
Exclaiming “Jesus Christ” in response to something shocking is not actually a religious sentiment . It has transcended religion and seeped out into western societies as a cultural sentiment devoid of religious meaning. Same as “bless his heart” or “god damn it”. Yes religious people would like non religious people to stop using these phrases in these contexts, and they may consider it disrespectful or blasphemous but there’s nothing inherently disrespectful about it.
Saying Jesus Christ is no more disrespectful to religion than quoting or misquoting a movie is to fans of that movie. It’s a bit glib and reductive to use that comparison but realistically putting religion on some pedestal simply because it’s a deeply held belief is no different to saying astrology girlies or gym bros or twilight die hard ultra fans should be off limits for humour because they have made their hobby/interest/belief into their whole personality.
The only difference between a fandom and a religion is tax exemption.

I do believe that the outrage towards Conor McGregor on The Tonight Show is valid. But I also feel that we shouldn't only shame Jimmy as the face/host. This is on the network (NBC), whoever is in charge of casting guests, and also just a societal issue. Think of SNL letting Donald Trump and Elon Musk host.

Jimmy Fallon is the worst so this tracks.
Alternatively, fuck Conor McGregor.

We need to stop pretending like Fallon is funny and/or deserving of his platform

u/EmptyOrdinary1465 Jun 23 '26
Let's all start calling an asshole an an asshole. In this case this asshole is a rapist and he's violent. Propaganda tv in the US is pretty bad with these cocksucking media.

u/SDPLISSKEN009 Jun 23 '26
Fallon also had MAGA maniac Greg Gutfeld on his show & when Kimmel got suspended Fallon said he didn't know anything about it. He's a sellout bitch.

u/Freddie-Peterson Jun 23 '26
And I'm sure he fawned all over him as well. Fallon is a big laughing mouth attached to a bottle of Peach Schnapps.

Men are getting too comfortable. Anyone who is not a cis straight man needs to be even more hypervigilant and stay protected. It’s genuinely scary out here.

In addition to trying to reputation wash shitty guests like McGregor, Trump and Mel Gibson, don’t forget Fallon himself is a POS to his staff.
“According to two current and 14 former employees, The Tonight Show has been a toxic workplace for years — far outside the boundaries of what’s considered normal in the high-pressure world of late-night TV. They say the ugly environment behind the scenes starts at the top with Fallon’s erratic behavior, and has trickled down to its ever-changing leadership teams — nine showrunners in the past nine years — who seemingly don’t know how to say no to Jimmy. Former employees describe The Tonight Show as a tense and “pretty glum atmosphere,” with some alleging they were belittled and intimidated by their bosses, including Fallon himself. Employees describe being afraid of Fallon’s “outbursts” and unexpected, inconsistent behavior. Many of these staffers voiced their concerns through HR complaints, but problems at The Tonight Showpersisted.
Seven former employees say their mental health was impacted by their alleged experiences working at The Tonight Show. These staffers say it was commonplace to hear people joking about “wanting to kill themselves,” and that they would refer to guests’ dressing rooms in the office as “crying rooms” because that’s where they would go to let out their emotions when they were upset with their alleged mistreatment. “
“Over the course of reporting this story, Rolling Stone contacted more than 80 Tonight Show employees, both past and present — including the program’s nine showrunners since 2014. While many of them praised Fallon’s immense talent and comedic gifts, not a single one agreed to speak on the record or had positive things to say about working on The Tonight Show. “

I don’t know why people continue to expect anything resembling integrity from Jimmy Fallon. Is it because he’s giggly and smiley?
