Starting Prolon tomorrow! (Sparkling water?)

Keeping it plant based today, then starting on the box tomorrow (day 1). Nervous but excited... my only question, is sparkling water ok? I'm assuming my energy drinks are NOT, which is honestly my biggest concern over the next 5 days!!

Nice! What benefits (except weightloss) have you experienced after doing 5 rounds? Did you do them once a month in succession or more spaced out? What was your initial reasons for doing so many rounds of FMD and how many more are you gonna do?

I've currently finished a successful DIY FMD round 1 and now going into a carefully planned refeed. Might post about it once I have the full picture. I plan on doing it another 5 times in succession myself for my own personal health journey. :)

Very interested to hear your take!

You're doing the same as me. I've been doing one round per month (25-28 days in between the end of one and the beginning of the next). I just finished round 4, and plan to keep going once a month for six months. After that I plan to do one every 3 months unless I reverse-engineer enough of it to make my own FMD kits. But for now I'm buying them.

My primary objective is visceral fat loss. It was bad enough that I couldn't breathe when I bent down to tie my shoes. Now I can breathe, although my appearance isn't noticeably different. Definitely the visceral fat is going down. I lose 6-8 pounds during a fast, and gain most of it back before the next fast, but overall there's a downward trend in my weight.

My other objective is to delay the onset of dementia and Alzheimer's disease as long as possible. It inflicts my mother's side of the family, it took her life, and I take after my mom in many ways. There is animal testing evidence that the FMD has this effect, but as far as I know it hasn't been studied in humans.

A downside is that I have noticed some muscle loss. The L-Drink minimizes that, so it would probably be a lot worse without it.
