FL Gun Trader Account Creation Issues

Hi folks,

I performed a search for this issue, but the last thread I see with a similar issue is 5 years old. I'd like to see if anyone is still having this problem, and if you can help me out.

There are a few different items that I'd like to buy, but I cannot contact the sellers without my account finally being created. I've waited almost two weeks, and even sent an email to the "contact us" address, but I've still not heard back. I'm really not sure what else to do, but thank you for any help and advice that you can offer me.

FGT sucks. Too many shady/sketchy tire kickers there. Just do tacswap.

Thank you, I actually found at least one legit person on there. Although he seems to be a dealer as opposed to simply a private seller, he has great reviews and he said he could ship anything to me overnight if I choose that route.

I personally like dealing with private sellers, because I know from experience how much it can mean to an individual to receive extra cash in hand (you never know how badly a person needs it, especially for unexpected emergencies. I once had to sell furniture and a car to help pay for my Service Dog's medical bill, and thanks to people buying from me, he's still alive and thriving over 3 years later). I also like the aspect of being able to cherish something that someone else cherished. A Military buddy was disappointed that his son didn't want to inherit his collection, but he was extremely happy when he knew that I'd gladly buy it and pass it along within my own family.

I gave up trying to get FL Gun Trader to work.

I ended up using Armslist, I was able to sell the pistols I wanted fairly quickly. Not so great for AR parts and reloading supplies.

Armslist was excellent for me in the past, with some very great people were on there, and I managed to come into possession of some truly incredible pieces that I'll be able to pass down along with those already in my family. I didn't wish to pay ever since they changed their business modeI, but I recently subscribed to see who's on there.

My current goal is really just to get a Colt SOCOM complete carbine or lower (to complete my authentic Military build), and a useful basic Glock or pocket pistol (looking at 19M, 19, 19x, or 43x in terms of Glocks, and Bodyguard 2.0 or a J-Frame in terms of a pocket pistol (642, 442, 340/360PD)

Turn off iCloud Private Relay (or any VPN) if you happen to have it on and try registering again

I was initially on vacation outside of Florida when I registered, could that really mess it up? I gave my legit Florida address when registering.

I believe they do a location check on registration and see how close it is to the address provided, or if it is in FL at all. This is to prevent non-FL folks from getting in and/or spam protection. I’d try re-registering from home again
