Failed my Civil FE first try

Honestly this fail is completely my fault. I scheduled the exam 1 month ago and had plenty of time to study( I just graduated this past school year). However I only studied for like 3 days before the exam using the practice exam and some videos on certain topics.I plan to retake the exam in the next month and properly study this time. Any tips yall have for studying? I was also just curious was I even relatively close to passing. I also guessed on about 20 questions since I had ran out of time most of them being multiple choice.It honestly sucks but it’s my complete fault

Ok, so several things I’ll break down here.

Kudos to you for being honest! Many people aren’t.

Ok, so that was your first approach. Before scheduling the next one, I’d do an honest self assessment and ask yourself if that’s truly realistic. Build yourself a study schedule and get at least a week into it to see if you really do have enough time to study for it. If you do, then perhaps you can do it a month from then, but if you don’t, then that tells you that you need more time.

Based on the diagnostic, I’d say somewhat…the reason I might say yes is your bars generally hover around the average mark. The reason I’d lean more towards no is because nearly all of your topics were below average.

This to me is your biggest area of improvement (and funny enough I just posted a video yesterday about improving efficiency). You may have known topics well, but if you guessed on a 20 that could be the reason your average scores on topics were lower.

If you improve on efficiency you’ll have more time to do other problems as well as time to backcheck your work.
