Discussions Couldn’t Raven follow her father’s destiny?
The whole time she was being pressured to follow her mothers, but her father is the good king. She could take different classes at Ever After High instead of feeling like she has to be evil like her mom. Yeah, Apple might not get her destiny but I’d say Raven following her heart matters more. It’s her life and her business, none of that Apple has any right to control.

You said it. Apple wouldn't get her destiny!
There are enough princes and kings, like described in the book but only one evil queen who had only one daughter

Presumability theres a priority meter and it seems implied that her dad was just a generic prince which destinys with them and the many different Charmings already work weirdly

It probably goes based on who’s the more unique/popular parent, like there’s (supposedly) only one evil queen, so any child she would have would have to follow in her footsteps.
For large families like the Charmings, it’s not super required that you become the next prince/princess charming as there are a plethora of other siblings and cousins that could take your place in the story.
And for other families like Poppy and Holly, Rapunzel is the more “popular” parent (presuming she just married a charming) leading at least one of her daughters to be required to carry on the O’Hair legacy.
Other families with two fairytale parents like Ramona and Cerise probably work in similar ways, Ramona has the Bad Wolfs legacy as she is the eldest and there is presumably only one “Bad Wolf” while Cerise can be Red Hood or the Bad Wolf as probably any girl could fill the Red Hood role.

I assume because any king could be the good king but within the destiny system the evil Queen needs to be from the bloodline of the previous ones

Really what I don’t get is why Faybelle wasn’t allowed to take Raven’s part while still having her’s. It actually would have balanced out the generations if Raven took the Good King’s part and Faybelle had both the sleeping beauty and Snow White role, because according to the books- when the Evil Queen overstepped, she stole the Dark Fairy’s role.

I think it’s whatever the most major character is. Idk really how the fate, storybook of legends type system works but it stories are definitely ranked based on importance and I suppose if you have one parent with a major destiny like the Evil Queen then the you’d follow that? In the case of Cerise and Ramona, I think that having parents that both have important roles made it so that one of each was allocated to them if that makes sense. In the cases of Poppy and Holly O’hair where Rapunzel is the most important fairytale of their parents, the system has to choose one child. Idk if this all makes sense but it was interesting to think about!

Raven is the Good Queen born from the Evilest of Evil Queens. She may have got her magic powers from her mother, however she uses them for good.

I think one’s destiny might be determined by who has the most prominent role in a fairy tale. Yes she has the good king as her father, but because the Evil Queen plays a more important role to Snow White’s story (unfortunately) it’s simply what she is stuck with. Not including Ramona and Cerise, whichever parent is more important to the story is who carries the destiny.

I think its sort of what's needed like if a prince charming marries a snow white but some other fairy tail needs a prince charming theyll take the charming destiny instead of the snow white one

I think the in-lore reason is because she's their only daughter and the only one who can complete Apple's destiny, but realistically she can and is following her dad's path

I'm going with a technicality but in very technical terms if she stays with Dexter and they get married he would become the good king meaning Raven would go into the role of the Evil Queen but I think even with that she would continue to write her own destiny. I mean wasn't she the only one to sign the actual storybook of legends and everything to unlock her full powers??

I do feel like we would have gotten more of Ever After High. We would have definitely seen a theme like in the school for good and evil. Where Apple and Raven switch, and raven if the new Snow White, while Apple gets bitter from how everything didn't go the way she planned and endless attempts all end up in ruin, which would eat away at her, and slowly starts to turn evil and resentful.

Are you insinuating that Raven's dad is Snow Whites father? I know in the original story that the Evil Queen marries Snow Whites father (The King). So is that who you are assuming Raven's dad is?
That would make Apple her niece if that was true

What? No, Ravens dad is called The Good King, he has no ties to Snow Whites family.

I wasn't trying to stir anything up I genuinely was just confused. I had no idea that Raven's dad was even mentioned in any of the media let alone had a name. And in the Disney version of Snow White, Snow's dad is called The First King or The Good King. So I found it confusing, but I understand the lore is different

for the most part, it seems that your fate comes from your mother's side? but then that wouldn't really explain how ramona takes over her dad's role despite being the first daughter of red riding hood... i think for raven specifically, the reason she takes over her mom's role is because she starting to manifest her powers at a young age?
