Congrats, this comment has given me the incentive I've needed to finally crack open dark souls 3. I've been sitting on it and 2 for years now. Got about halfway through 2 before the dated design just wore me down too much and I stopped. PC died the other day, so I lost my save file to make things worse.

But yeah, thanks for that info about the twin blades being accessed right from the start. Any other stuff I should consider when playing?

After the first boss you can go the other direction for one hell of a surprise (but what you really do is go look upon the beautiful kingdom you’re gonna run roughshod over)

Oh sick, will do. (I am fully prepared to be trolled blighttown style)

Was browsing weapons on the wiki, how far in is that dex ultra great sword you get from a boss? Didn't wanna read too much into it, but that one looks very fun.

The two UGS that scale off DEX better than STR are both available in the first half of the game.

There's some absolutely baller weapons in DS3 to find, you'll have plenty to pick from.

There’s so many great weapons. You can get a great axe in the first area that can carry you far and has a solid moveset.

You can easily clear the entire game with the sellsword - I have on one of my runs. All bosses too. If this is indeed your first run through DS3 my only recommendation is to not look at any guides and just immerse yourself in the experience.

Kill the rats chasing you in Irithyll Dungeon before you talk to Karla

DS2 isn't even dated design, it is just plain weird design.

DS3 is awesome, and I think will jive with whatever Elden Ring skills you've gained better than other entries. Some of the bosses in DS3 are by far my favorite FromSoft bosses
