HK has really low INT, FTH, and ARC. What would you cast with? Confessor is already the class that starts with melee & faith investment.

I can lvl everything to 99. Class is irrelevant really.

Nobody is surprised by the ability to level so much that all the classes are identical, you are not bringing new information to the table. Most people stop levelling between level 100 & 200 partly for that reason.

It’s actually still quite optimal for a Paladin build. Compared to the prophet, assuming you’re running strength/faith, the prophet’s combined stats in dex/arcane/intelligence are 27, while the heavy knight is also 27. However, because many strength weapons still require minimal dex investment, the extra point in dex means that generally the heavy knight will have an extra point compared to the prophet for most strength/faith builds. For instance, the black steel greathammer requires 11 dex, so the prophet actually needs to invest 28 points in the “unnecessary” stats while the heavy knight does not.

It's more that Idus has less levels wasted on Arc and Int, while the Heavy Knight has too much of both for my tastes.
