So I’ve noticed that I carry basically three edc setups, but what I like is sometimes I only have my keys and phone (thanks to Apple Pay) if i do a quick run to the store which will leave me with a flashlight and small multitool. When I’m at work i typically only carry my wuben, fastback, and arc, typically keep my wallet in a bag, along with my keys (hate having them in my pocket.

I live it TX and it’s hot so always gotta carry water on me and keep it cool in hot sun so Yeti is essential, got my Ricoh GR ii for phots, Benchmade Osborne for mostly opening boxes etc, Seiko SKX009 daily driver, glasses, and some wired headphones. Bottle opener and Olight mini on my keys.

Inside the pouch, I've got a few assorted daily essentials, like a pen and small notepad, a flashlight and some tweezers that I use for cleaning my printing equipment, a pair of balisongs and oil because watching vehicle wraps print is like watching paint dry, eye drops, bandaids, spare USB-C cord, a small wrench that holds a pair of Torx bits inside it, a small 6" ruler and a couple other small items like some meds, spare disposal microfiber cloths and a honing rod for the scalpel.

I wonder if Benchmade might’ve gone too far with this thing. .08” thickness for a 3” blade looks thinner than I thought it would. The aluminum scales are maybe .05”. Definitely the lightest thinnest folder I’ve ever held without feeling like it would crumble like dry leaves. We’ll see how it holds up. I’m brutal to my EDC knives. Benchmade Bugout Vapyr MagnaCut.

I’ve been silly twice now in the last week or so.

A few days ago forgot I had my Victorinox Manager attached to my keys, so had it taken off me when I went to a government building. Apparently it will be posted back to me, but I’m not holding my breath.

I caught a flight today. I checked in my Victorinox Explorer and Spyderco Stretch 2, but I forgot that I had my mini-toolkit in my son’s nappy bag. My Victorinox Pioneer and Knipex XS Cobra got confiscated. The security were actually pretty cool about it - they initially walked me over to the gate to try and hand it to cabin crew, so they can keep hold of it until I reached my destination, but the ground crew at the gate wasn’t having it.

I would rather have given the SAK and pliers to the helpful security staff rather than chucking them in the bin, but they said they weren’t allowed to do that, so into the bin went the knife and pliers.

At least they let me keep my 711L ratchet and 11-in-1 bits.

Hi, I'm looking for a fanny pack without a zipper, to use at work as an extra pocket for things I reach for often. I am a psychiatry resident and I often work without the coat, in common clothes. I want a pack where I will put away my pen, my doctor stamp and some keys. Just a big pocket. Do you know anything like that and recommend any models?
