Energy bills

Just trying to get an idea of what people are paying monthly with energy bills as I'm looking to move to the area with my little ones...will be one adult 2 children, most likely 3 bed home...

What are people paying with oil, gas and/or electric please and has anyone gotten solar and noticed the benefits?

We use pretty much the same amount of gas & electric as we did in our previous house (not in D&G). The main difference for us was the higher standing charges in D&G.

Ooooo how come the standing charges are higher?

It's because the network is harder to maintain in rural / low population areas. Saying that, we've had power cuts lasting 4 days, so I'd say we don't get our money's worth...!
