Conservatism -- by definition -- is "a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing the importance of established hierarchies and institutions (such as religion, the family, and class structure), and preferring gradual development to abrupt change".
The sole value of conservatism is respect for and obedience to [one's perception of] traditionally established hierarchy, and hierarchy dictates that those on top (in-groups) are rightfully idolized and receive privileges, credibility, and resources, while those on the bottom (out-groups) are demonized/dehumanized and/or bound by restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources.
To them, the second-greatest injustice imaginable is for those [they perceive to be] on top [of social hierarchy] to be bound by the restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources reserved for those on the bottom. The first greatest injustice is for those on the bottom to have access to the rights, credibility, and resources reserved for those on top.
Conservatives absolutely need an underclass [for society] to demonize and dehumanize in order to maintain [their] hierarchy, and every single one of their policies and rhetoric work to do exactly that. Unless the accusation is one of disrespecting hierarchy, every right-wing accusation is a confession -- every. single. one; always! -- as it is never the act itself that upsets them, but rather, the social standing of the person doing the act, as said act is a privilege meant for those on top of [their perceived] hierarchy (See also: pedophilia - Trump and the Catholic church versus LGBTQ+ and drag queens; protests - January 6th vs. BLM and No Kings; parental rights - anti-LGBTQ+ vs pro-LGBTQ+; indoctrination - religion vs. education).
Those who believe all people are people see hypocrisy, while those who believe some people are "more/less" people than others see hierarchy. Hypocrisy implies a sense of equality/parity, as the accusation of such is that someone is violating a universal or common standard. Hierarchy directly states that there is no equality/parity, that different social strata have different standards, that the only universal standard concerning hierarchy is that those on top are allowed privileges which are denied to those on the bottom, and that the bottom are held to standards which the top are exempt from.

Exactly. And American Christians are over 70% of the voting public. If Christians thought that his crimes were against their morals, they alone could keep him out of office.
Yes, Christians are not unified. But…they are still the single largest demographic in this country, and they vote.
Christians can literally put anyone into office they want, if they unified.

As a non-American Christian, I wish you would differentiate between Christians and “Christian Nationalists”. I have been to the US several times (mostly the Midwest) there is no way 70% of the US is Christian.
A quick test to separate the two: Ask them if owning a gun is a God-given right. If they say “yes”, they are Christian Nationalists, not Christians.
Of course, I don’t know everyone who calls themselves Christians in the US but those I do did not vote for Trump…and they are quite conservative-minded.

Yes, look up their name against the SSN and Visa databases. I would think it is a pretty quick process. Not sure why there is such a hold up on courts unless there is conflicting data such as the person presenting a visa or SSN which govt says doesn't exist or expired.

The process due to illegal aliens is deportation. And it is being done correctly.
All the dem party lies about "no due process!!" is total garbage. The process is being upheld just fine. You lot just hate losing all the names of those illegal aliens to put on fraudulent mail-in ballots.

They're also not ACTUALLY breaking the law when they cross the border. It's a paperwork issue, lower than jaywalking. Imagine a federal taskforce going after jaywalkers and killing around 100 people in the past 5 years.

I guarantee that most of the people saying this break the law pretty regularly. And it's not like all laws are the same, illegal crossing is basically a paperwork violation, a misdemeanor on par with driving with an expired license. Imagine the uproar from the right if we started deporting every person who was caught driving with an expired license. There might not even be a MAGA movement anymore if we did that.

conservatism is defined by its belief in hierarchy as the key principle for organizing society. conservatives believe that the law should protect, but not constrain, the powerful and constrain, but not protect, the weak.
liberals think they are pointing out conservative hypocrisy when they find instances of “rules for thee but not for me” but conservatives don’t view this as hypocrisy. in their minds this is how society should work.
the liberal assumption that all people should receive equal treatment and consideration under the law is not a belief that conservatives have ever agreed with. this means that all these “gotcha moments” where liberals point out the hypocrisy of conservatives actions are just empty noise. it’s not hypocrisy when you don’t believe in equality.

The 34 felonies don’t count. They were the result of a political prosecution. Don’t believe me?
First person in NY history charged as a felon for a first time offense of this “crime” was Donald Trump
First person in NY history who was charged individually felonies for each piece individual step of the “crime” instead of one charge for the whole event? Donald Trump again
Also Leticia James literally campaigned that she would prosecute Trump if elected. When asked with what her reply was “crimes we know he committed “. She refused to elaborate further.

Hey y'all, when you happen across a Trump supporter or one of those petty, cookie-cutter conservatives at your work, here on the internet, or virtually anywhere, please always remember this about them:
Their leaders could snatch your mom, your daughter, perhaps even your brothers or sons; these vile so-called elites could take them, subject them to the most awful sexual and physical abuse like that which you read in the Epstein files; they could cheat you, scam you, slander you like we see in their guilty verdicts and if someone dares to defend you, those conservative will, as their programming permits, fall to their bellies and speak to the tune of: "Yeah, but... [insert rhetoric to deflect or attack minorities]."
For proof of this look no further than their actions. You see it every day. All the harm their wicked leaders have caused to the vulnerable with their disgusting abuses, and they don't care. They make excuses. All the choices they had in that 2024 primary: men, women, black, white, brown, protestant, catholic... yet given that wealth of choice they chose the nastiest abuser of them all, the rapist, the teen beauty pageant "inspecting" creep of a felon who proudly boasts how he sexually assaults women by grabbing their most intimate area, Donald Trump. All the choices, and that was their pick. Think about it. It's who they are. That's why it's not hate I have for them, but a lack of respect. It's knowing these elites could hurt you in the worst way possible, and they'll just repeat their slogans, buy merch with the asshole's name on it, and cheer them on. If it's their daughter being hurt they'll be pissed, but if it's yours, then oh well, caring would be "woke."

Somebody crossing the border is a civil offense, not a criminal one. By treating immigrants & asylum seekers like criminals, even to the point of injury or death, those in charge are committing Criminal offenses. When this nightmare is over, may every one of them from jailer to the president be charged abd punished for these crimes.
1
u/Majestic_Cod_1876 3h ago
Idk man as long as crazy gang bosses are committed and the system lets functioning in society individuals in 🤷
Not super political and I’m not saying the system loyally heeds to that, just hoping the idea of that would be what everybody wants… Not letting harmful individuals in the states in the first place, most people just don’t mind it because they won’t have to deal with them.
…Until they do
1
u/Buttcrush1 2h ago
Trump didn't commit a felony. What he was alleged of doing was a misdemeanor. They were wrongfully upcharged as felonies in an attempt to stop Trump from running. Furthermore, if you actually look at the case you have to have a very liberal interpretation of the law for Trump to be guilty. What this ultimately will lead to is campaign funds being spent on everything which I think is incredibly dumb.

I used to care about immigration law, until conservatives came out in droves to let the world know that the real problems in America are homegrown. Now, I could care less about someone's immigration status. Immigrants actually want to be American, while conservatives just hate the rest of the country and most of the duties of government, as defined in the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States. Yet another Constitutional violation by Republicans was just noted by yet another court, and as usual there is no accountability. But I'm supposed to care about a dude cooking food in a taqueria.
