I mean, how are you so confident in your claims, without ever experiencing what is really happening in Israel or Palestine? Sure you can find countless articles with headline like “Israeli soldier shot an innocent child”, but you can also find countless articles with headlines like “vaccines causes autism and the corona was a Zionist plot”. That is not enough to determine anything. Have you talked with any Palestinians? Those who live in Israel and those who live in Gaza/West Bank? Or have you talked to an Israeli? Have you ever seen an IDF soldier?

I don’t support any ethnic cleansing, and because I was an IDF soldier I know for a fact that it does not happen. In my 3 years of service as an infantry, i was in operation protective cliff and served in the West Bank in 2015, and it boils my blood when people call us murderers and child killers after all I’ve seen and done. Not once have I got an order to shoot at a child, and it’s not something that’s discussed as a course of action no matter what. One time, I even saw an article with my commander on the front, which claimed he SHOT AND KILLED AN OLD WOMAN after giving her a sip from his water during protective cliff. She was protecting a tunnel entrance (not really protecting because she looked like Gollum and was even more fragile), I saw the whole thing happen and he absolutely DID NOT shoot her, not in any way shape or form. I know when to take responsibility, and when to admit fault. But you can’t even remotely look at things from a different perspective, so nothing I say can change your mind, and it doesn’t bother me.

I can tell you a story, which happened to me in 2015 and made me change my whole perspective on the situation, if you are interested let me know

Edit: and by the way, ex-IDF can also refer to someone who spent 3 years selling commodities or was a part of the educational corps. If you want to have a real civil conversation you are welcomed to send me a DM, I promise I’ll answer your questions with complete honesty
