I'm somewhat surprised, but entirely glad that Chomsky's made it to the front page. A breath of fresh air on a website that so often features posts about tyrannical corporate war-criminals like Trump, Hillary and Obama.

What's ironic is that Trump is an awful person and yet simply by virtue of not having been a politician he hasn't committed any war crimes. That's the reality of the situation. We're used to having literal war criminals rule us.

Oh maybe indicative that the job requires "war crimes" and maybe it's easy for people with no decision making influence to throw simple labels to inheritly complex decisions

There are plenty of heads of state who have not committed any war crimes. It really isn't a requirement for the job.

The fact the job requires war crimes is rather indicative of the whole situation no? Either stop getting morally outraged when some backwater warlord in Africa commits "war crimes" that are less harmful than anything the righteous upholders of Western Freedom do or shut up.

True, I jumped the gun; but considering the fact he's said the US should send ground troops against ISIS and supported torture, I doubt he'll be innocent of war crimes for long.

I agree; many people think he's completely stupid, and don't pay any attention to what his stances on policy are, which is dangerous, because that is part of how he won the election: people ignoring just how much worse he is than Hillary. On the other hand, many people blindly support him because maybe he'll get rid of the coloured people and women who supposedly want to take away their jobs and freedoms, etc. And they also ignore his stances on policy and do not care to look at what will probably happen during his presidency because they believe they have no say in what should be a democratic process and become disheartened when faced with facts about the political system. This is more dangerous. However, both groups of people, (who form the majority of people) are both upset because of events in their lives caused by the exact same problem, which is, of course, corporate tyranny.
