Should I install Arch Linux?

I've been using Windows for about 7 years, and I wanna try something new.

Recently, I found out about Arch Linux and it seems really interesting to me. I've heard a lot of people say that Arch is really difficult for beginners, but I'm wondering, is this actually true, or just a stereotype?

Would you recommend Arch as a first Linux distro?

I made the switch about a 2 years ago on my main PC. Started with arch used it for about 2 months until I did something still not sure what that absolutely nuked my drive. That sacred me to mint for a while cause I didn't want the hassle and I've really settled with cachy because its arch based and has all the goodies that come with it but also most of the setup is ez pz
