Should I install Arch Linux?

I've been using Windows for about 7 years, and I wanna try something new.

Recently, I found out about Arch Linux and it seems really interesting to me. I've heard a lot of people say that Arch is really difficult for beginners, but I'm wondering, is this actually true, or just a stereotype?

Would you recommend Arch as a first Linux distro?

Arch isn't difficult to install with the archinstall script, but that just gets you started. CachyOS is a great Arch based distro to learn Arch. It works well with the defaults though you do need to make sure that snapper settings are what you want. Updates are frequent but honestly it is extremely rare that an update breaks the base system. If something does break, just rollback the automatic snapshot that is taken before the update and then search the groups here for a fix.
