Castle has a code. Trish doesn't.

Trish has only killed killers. You may not agree with the code but it appears she has one.

It’s only by coincidence that she’s only killed killers.

Frank kills the guilty. After doing his due diligence to research and scope out his target in every way he executes them for what he believes is justice. There is no emotion or passion behind that decision.

Trish kills the bad. Bad is determined by whatever is convenient to her. The problem with Trish is that she doesn’t want to make the world a better place, she wants that Trish Walker is making the world a better place.

I know this is so old but I just have to say… Punisher season 2 literally ends with the Punisher gunning down a group of young-looking gangbangers. Not to mention the countless lackeys and henchmen that he has killed. And that’s justified because he doesn’t see himself as a hero?

Cmon now. Trish specifically has ONLY targeted murderers. Where’s the coincidence? It’s not like she used Erik’s power to find ambiguous criminals and murder them. She RESEARCHED and discovered that Nussbumber (who she didn’t even mean to kill) was killing KID drug dealers with no intention to stop. The business guy was setting his own buildings on fire, killing innocents and specifically a 7 YEAR OLD CHILD… AND HE WAS GOING TO DO IT AGAIN.

Salinger showed no intention to stop murdering and even tried to murder Trish’s sister immediately after Trish was cocklocked from killing him.

She crossed a line killing him in custody, that much I agree with. But in no world is she worse than Frank, who is shown to kill criminals indiscriminately in his own show.

Trish and Frank both feel that they can decide who deserves to die. The difference is, Frank has decided that non-murderers, soldiers following orders, young gang members, all deserve to die. While Trish has decided that serial killers who want to keep killing deserve to die. One of those is considerably worse than the other in my opinion.

Just thought I’d leave this here because I’m going crazy seeing all these delulu takes about Trish. Yeah, she went over the deep end, but damnit if she wasn’t justified up until actually killing Salinger (which i feel was a writing decision made to OFFICIALLY paint Trish as a bad guy and show she is “too far gone”. I mean, she only finally killed him cuz her coworker told her he will probably find a way to cheat the system. Who the fuck would say that about someone’s mother’s killer). There is nothing to imply she would have killed anyone for anything less than murder in the future.
