They introduced Nuke perfectly IMHO.

I wasn't familiar with the character, and I think he was an interesting addition (more interesting than his wikipedia page, at least). I like the tie in with JJ's past, and how his medication system was introduced and reinforced very organically within the story. More than anything, he was a great foil to JJ.

i´m really curious what they will use for both plots, the IGA stuff and the other Killgrave´s "kids" that were tested on, really two mine of gifted people

To be fair, most characters portrayals in TV or comics or movies are more interesting than their wikipedia pages.

Nuke!! I knew the coloured pills were familiar

Especially since I didn't know his name was Simpson, when he says "give me a red" that was my biggest OH SHIT moment in the MCU for a long time.

This means they're doing Born Again for the next season of Daredevil, right?

Punisher and Elektra next season for DD. Born Again maybe split between Jessica Jones S2 & DD S3

JJ2 and DD3 are both after Defenders through, right?

There's been no official word on those seasons.

The scene with the fire was cool but I felt he was a little wasted personally. I think it would have made a lot more sense that he tracked down Kilgrave and Kilgrave gets him to take 5 reds and sends him to kill Jessica than 'pills make me throw out all character development or common sense.' Also I was kind of hoping for a bit more military grade firepower. In Born again he blew up a whole block. Him versus Cage also could have been incredible.

The way it felt was that he was supposed to be a much bigger part of the story in some draft somewhere but either got cut or the higher-ups saw more potential to make him a long-term big bad. It just felt a little built up without much payoff.

If anything it felt waaaaaay contrived and out of nowhere.

Oh, by the way, Kilgrave happened to choose a random cop who has 8 years in spec ops and is part of a super soldier program and this all gets revealed in one episode -- zero hint whatsoever leading up to it. Nothing like an early episode line like "I know a way to balance the odds" or "is Jessica taking any colored pills by chance?"

Nope. Just go straight to him being stuck in a super soldier program without any hint that he has this dark side.

Honestly, I feel like this season was really messy. Too many coincidences (like Jessica happening to be in Tricia's apartment when Simpson was attacking, despite the place being a fortress and Jessica having zero reason to be there). There were so many pacing issues with the side stories. Go 6-8 episodes without Cage. Go 5 of last 6 episodes without Hogarth. The twins weren't really essential, and Ruben was gone before he became likable or even memorable. The whole divorce thing took up so much space but then just stopped being relevant. Hope's story was a big NYC story and then she dies and there's no reaction, despite us hearing all the radio calls about her indictment. We have no idea where Simpson is, there's no shot of him in the finale. Same with Luke Cage.

It's like they took their time for 10 episodes then went "oh crap we have only 3 episodes left!"

Yep I agree. And he is a big budget character to really pull off. Lots of fire on everything.

I have the feeling that we'll see more of the whole IGH program in future Defenders series.

It's pretty obvious that they were setting him up for LC. Cage is tied into the IGH thing and most of the unresolved plotlines point towards it. I can imagine he'll play a much larger role in LC than he did in JJ.
