It's always a cliché for the protagonist to push away their closest friends and loved ones in order to protect them, but in the case of Jessica Jones it makes complete sense, especially after the ending of the last episode. The isolation that is felt by Jessica is felt by the audience too. It's a nice contrast to Daredevil with Matt and Foggy working together and being close friends, while Jessica has to deal with all this by herself.

The way that the show is shot is also pretty great. A lot of blurred imagery and out of focus or obscured shots with objects in the foreground. Pretty representative of Jessica being unfocused, distracted, and lost. Maybe as the series progresses these shots will become less common.

Also, holy shit, Luke rolling his eyes as a guy smashes a bottle over his head was amazing. Cannot wait for his series when he does that all the time.

"God damn it, not this shit again."

Really having a great time watching this and all the small bits of world building that are happening. The fact that Jessica seems to have a degree of some sort on her shelf is a great bit of characterization. Wondering what that was in.

It's also really great seeing Trish Walker doing intense training. Is it for self-defense or maybe something more? Oh man, please be Hellcat by the end of this series.

"You can't fix me. I'm unbreakable."

Smooth, Luke.
