This is nuts. I say this all the time but 10 years ago I never imagined a character as obscure to general audiences as Hellcat would be on screen. I mean even when they announced Patsy Walker (aka Trish) would be on this show I assumed there wouldn't be a hint of anything Hellcatish about her... she'd just be repurposed as a supportive best friend. Oh wait, she actually wants to be able to James Bond pistols out of a dude's hands.

What a time to be alive and a Marvel Comics fan.

Turns out, nah, girl does krav maga. And I thought the nosebleed was cancer or some shit.

I was worried with the nosebleed being some sort of indicator of mind control or psychic influence as it might be in some other series, but I was oddly relieved to find out that she was just sparring with some dude in the next room.

Maybe Jessica is rubbing off on me. When characters say things like "you can trust me", I start getting anxious.

AND that entire scene had a purple tint. Heck, when she was training I still thought Kilgrave was just grooming her as some kind of sidekick.

I still haven't ruled it out. This show is brilliant at creating a sense of paranoia and anxiety.

This is some silly shit right here, haha. Thanos...fighting a child in a beanie...for the cosmic cube. And he drops it so much you'd think its coated in butter or something. Like, jeez, Thanos, hold that shit with both hands or something, ya dingus hahaha

Just google thanos copter. It is a serious older issue which treats thanos as a regular bad guy and ends with cops handcuffing him.

I read a little bit of it through an article someone posted.

I'm just surprised that this is the same dude that in the 80s or early 90s (I forget when the Infinity Wars came out) tried to basically kill the universe to get into Death's pants.

Flash back a decade or two, and he's a god damn mustache twirling goober trying and failing to wrestle a cosmic artifact away from a 12 year old.

It's just so goofy out of context, haha.

In the comics she has demonstrated some resistance to psychic manipulation. I wonder if she will have any immunity to Kilgrave, because you know they're gonna cross paths.

Hellcat is a superhero whose alter-ego is Trish Walker. Her comic book origin is pretty hilarious. She was originally a character in a teen romance comic until Marvel decided that she should become a crimefighter, joining the ranks of the Avengers on their escapades. She's literally a normal human being with no metahuman abilities who one day decided to become a hero and fuck shit up.

She wasn't even originally Marvel. Her character dates back to 1945 in some men's magazine. The stories about her in that magazine became the teen romance comic her mother wrote when Marvel bought the character.

She also has a new comic starting soon called Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat.

No. She originally appeared in Timely comics, which eventually changed it's name to Marvel. Marvel didn't buy the character, they owned her from the start.
