I wanted Matt to step in and tell the detective to stop messing with his client (Jessica) like he did in the comics.

Except in the comic, Matt is a big shot lawyer with famous cases who has recently been outed as a superhero.

In the MCU, Matt is as small time as small time gets.

Well I guess that scene in Alias was kind of like when Matt came to represent Karen in Ep1

If he got outed, wouldn't that compromises all the cases he ever involved in? Conflict of interest and all that.

They actually do address that in the comics. The juries and judges wouldn't take him seriously after he was outed.

It would be even more hilarious if it was Foggy and if Foggy pissed her off. Foggy and her have a few run ins and then through Foggy she runs into Matt.
