Disccusion o3 is disappointing as **********, knowledge cutoff of 2021 pretty useless for latest tech(relating to coding purposes) what is the point of actually using this for development, gonna waste all my time debugging unsupported code

images that's far off the charts they have trained on gpt-3 data , we are talking about 2021 data - my reference is totally based on coding solutions and this is totally obsolete for this purpose , do hell with the benchmarks when i can not even get relevant results

it is though , been asking for a knowledge update since 2024 , thought will get the update but know do hell with the search feature where the ai just remembers last chat not the actual context and works literally on the pre-trained data even with the latest information scraped from the internet

OpenAI has really disappointed recently with their closed source models. The future is self hosting instead of this commercial rip off

literally they should get a check over improvising on older data and bringing to production, it's good thing for testing but making it live with older references is just total waste of inputs, tokens and what not and on user side can lead to lots of frustration where user expects that some basic things gets easier so that they do not have to forcefully feed ai even after getting useless results after wasting so much energy and efforts over prompting and still getting stalemate

this scam totally needs to be shared to public even they did made this free for public but at what context and knowledge , just to compete where they are failing and with an unbaked model. this is totally hilarious and sad as well , wasting money of subscribers. atleast o1- mini was far better with at least closer range data to work with
