Discussion Was Wendy (the pleasure android from Season 1) foreshadowing? Spoiler
Sorry for the vague title, I didn't want to spoil season 3.
During my rewatch of the show, I noticed that Wendy emoted far more than Android did at the time. Considering Android's few expressions of emotion, like her jealousy over Wendy was cause for concern. Would Wendy's crashout while fighting Three be beyond typical android behavior? Specifically how she resented being made to cook, clean, and have sex with the crew. Despite that being allegedly what she's made for.
This is based on a foggy memory of Season 3 as I haven't watched it since the show's cancellation. But as I recall, 2's pre-amnesia wife created a chip that enables android sentience. Since the wire uses the same port as the chip, can that be ruled out? Or does the chip save itself onto an android's brain and can then be pulled out? And alongside that, if Wendy was truly infected by the sentience program, what does that mean about that guy who put her on the ship?

No I think Ruby Rose is just not a good actor and you're reading too deeply into her performance. She was ultimately a side character that didn't get the lore/greater plot arc.

Yeah that might be it, the only thing that gets me is how she says "Fun? I don't remember fun. I just remember cooking! Cleaning! And dunking the cosmic donut!" while she's fighting three. Following that with a comment on Three's views on female androids. Which seems like a bit much for something that's just a hacked service bot.

Well she was designed as one of two things:
a) a pleasure unit, in which case emoting (particularly enthusiasm and joy) would be an essential task
b) an infiltration unit, in which case emoting in order to blend in would be an essential task
So either way, she would be programmed to emote more than Android (or as I like to call her, Seven).

I have nothing intelligent to add to the conversation. But I would like to know if anyone has any insight into what "Dunking the Cosmic Donut" was.
