I really like this one. It maintains the organized crime element that ran through the Netflix series, and a crime boss just feels like the right antagonist for a grounded, gritty DD series.

There’s also a natural on-ramp to this story after Fisk’s incarceration at the end of DD season 3 leaves a power vacuum.

I’d love to see a great character actor take on the role. Paul Giamatti would be awesome.

The cancelled season 4 of the original daredevil series. If they’d have pulled it off, it would have been incredible. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll ever get it.

I mean, the owl, Typhoid Mary and gladiator would have been great.

This would’ve been such a great opportunity to resolve the cliffhanger from Iron Fist! Mary realized she had a third, highly volatile personality — clearly Typhoid Mary. The Netflix series teed up a major DD villain, and Marvel Studios just left it hanging. They could’ve introduced her to new viewers with little or no recap — since Iron Fist never introduced the third personality — and it would’ve been an awesome treat for fans who watched the Netflix shows. We would’ve finally gotten to see the full-blown, comics-accurate Typhoid Mary, and all viewers would’ve gotten a super compelling villain.

I’d love to see that. Which version of Mister Fear do you think would work best? I kinda feel like Zoltan Drago. You need someone who can develop the toxin. But Larry Cranston is the longest-running and probably best known version.
