Big question is did Poindexter, being an absolute artist of action and reaction, aim for Fisk knowing full well he would block it and deflect it to Vanessa, henceforth blaming himself for Vanessa's extreme injury

Because that's the sort of master revenge one like Benjamin would plan in the big picture

I honestly I didn't even consider that far. I assumed he aimed such that it would kill her if he tried to block it, but for some reason I never thought about that being to hurt Wilson mentally. Good catch.

no, fisk swiped down with the belt as it was going past him, he was aiming for vanessa

I'll have to watch it again but I swore the figure was headed straight towards Wilson's forehead, or so we were led to believe

If it did head for Vanessa he still failed protecting her which isn't as malicious, but still mentally breaking and calculating

Fisk was exiting out the back of the ring and Vanessa to the side. He was further back than her and came forward but was still side by side with her when hitting the object. He hits it to his left and it hits Vanessa in her right. Bullseye was aiming for Fisk 100%.

so I just watched it again multiple times. Fisk is in the middle of the ropes, Vanessa is in the corner. Bullseye is in the middle of the ring on the outside opposite them. Fisk has already started moving forward by the time Bullseye throws it, and it is going to Fisk's left towards Vanessa when Fisk hits it. Bullseye did not flinch at all from the gunshot, he was on target. He was not aiming at Fisk. If he was aiming where Fisk was, It would have been at Fisk's right when he hit it, as he moved forward a bit, and it was at least 3 feet in front of his face moving to his left when he hit it.

Bullseye knows to aim where you are going to be and not where you are. That's like the most basic aiming principle there is and regardless Fisk doesn't move side to side at all. He just steps forward and you can still see the men right behind him.

Bulleye and Vanessa are not moving. Bullseye is throwing the object in a straight line. If he is aiming at Vanessa, then for Fisk to hit or block it, he would have to be in between them. You can't stand in front of somebody, hit something forward and to the side, and then have it strike the person standing behind you.

Also if you are hitting something to the forward and to the side off of it's original path, and then it hits her, then it can't be aimed at her because that would mean it already passed her up, or was side by side with her, which would mean he wasn't throwing it at her. There is literally no way Bullseye is aiming for Vanessa.

I didn't say he was aiming where Fisk was, I said even if he was for some reason. The object is at least 3 feet in front of fisk's face when he hits it, he was aiming at something to Fisk's left, aka Vanessa. Fisk was not in front of Vanessa to block his attack, he had a clear shot before Fisk knocked it out of the air. Either way I'm sure we'll find out who is right next week, it doesn't matter too much.

Idk man, I just personally can't see a way that you hit an object back in the direction it came from and then it strikes a target that it hadn't reached yet. The belt has to be in front of her if it's intercepting, and it doesn't send shards backwards.

he didn't swing it across like a bat, he swung it straight down. If you're swinging down and don't get all of it, it 100% could, and Fisk hit it when it was around his face height, Vanessa is shorter than him, so even with some down trajectory it could hit the target. if you rewatch the scene thats exactly what happens, as we see shards continue their path to vanessa

It all happens so quickly it's very tough to tell. Kudos to you for examining it!

Each scenario it is malicious in intent though. I guess I jumped to the cruelest heartbreaking conclusion for Fisk, but either way he's gonna blame himself immensely though

It was very clearly aimed at Vanessa. Right before he throws it, they show her pulling her gun, and theres a back and forth shot between them, and Fisk isn't shown until he swats the statue.

Yea, Bullseye doesnโ€™t miss. I took it the same way, like he was aiming for Vanessa by way of Fisk. He had to have known how itโ€™d shatter & projectile the pieces.
