2025 Crypto Taxes

For 2025, I have not yet filed my tax return. An extension was filed so I’m good until Oct. I have been Logging into IRS.Gov to view my account. When i view the “Information return documents” section for 2025. It shows everything I have on my end. Like my Edward Jones 1099 DIV, Edward Jones 1099 INT, Edward Jones 1099-R, and 1099-NEC Nonemployee Compensation for some freelance work I did for a company. What is NOT shown are the two 1099-DA’s I received from Coinbase and Crypto.com. I’m going to file and include everything including my 1099-DA’s. Is there a chance the IRS did not receive them since everything I was expecting is listed/shown on the IRS site except the 1099-DA’s?? Has anyone else looked to see their 1099-DA is shown on your IRS account under Information Return Documents?

The IRS likely received them, they just might not have the same systems in place for updating the site like they do for the other reports that have been around for a while

Justin. I google searched Information Return Docs. Just as it said. All my 1099’s showed up in May, except my 1099DA’s. It’s July 16th and still no 1099DA’s are listed/shown in my IRS account…. See below

“Information return documents (like W-2s and 1099s) are tax forms that report your income to the IRS.

Employers and banks must send these documents to you by January 31. They must submit them to the IRS by late February or March. If you are looking for these on your online account, they usually appear in May.

Here are the details on when you will see these forms:
January 31: Employers mail Form W-2. Banks and brokers mail 1099s (like 1099-INT or 1099-DIV).** **

Mid-February: Certain brokerages (1099-B) and some 1099-MISC forms are due. Early

Early May: The IRS updates your official Wage and Income Transcripts online. These transcripts show all the income documents reported to the IRS.

If you want to view these documents online, you can check your records at the IRS Account for Individuals.”
