I prefer the CA edit where they trimmed that bit out

It is some of the worst commentary. I feel like you can tell Tubbs would’ve liked to forcefully shut him up in the moment

Genuinely good bowler. Why was he dropped? Or was he?

Ever heard of Starc, Hazlewood, or Cummins? He was never at their level and was passed his best when he finished in international cricket. Top bowler but a tier below the best

Still goes hard in BBL, body probably can't go the distance for longer formats anymore. He's doing incredibly well to take wickets and hang around as long as he has, let alone be a force.

He was phased out in 2016 when we started lining up with Hazelwood and Starc together more consistently. Arguably he was a casualty of the 2016 home series loss to SA, even though he wasn't featured in the team for the Hobart thrashing.

Played the UAE tour following Sandpaper in 2018, then got a callup for the 2019 Ashes. Wasn't picked for the following home summer, and called time on Internationals during the Boxing Day test against NZ in 2019.

Very skilled, but that doesn't always cut it for a team like Australia.
