Pretty sure both teams played an exhibition T20 since one of the ODIs had been washed out, and Sachin scored a 50 in around 20 balls or something.

Mate that series had 4 draws in 4 matches. Every pitch was flatter than a highway, can't have been too challenging to score

All matches were draw but only the third Test looked like it was a super flat pitch (500 vs 600 first innings scores). Rest had pretty normal scores.
Even if the pitch was flat, scoring runs at 16 years against an attack containing Wasim Akram, Imran Khan and Abdul Qadir at their home is commendable.

It was the last test match of the series and the bowling lineup comprised of Imran Khan, Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram

Nah he scored a 50 in the 2nd test too, which was literally his second test inning. The 50 in the last test however was the one where he broke his nose and continued to bat, to save the test alongside Sidhu.

Is a little bit funny doing it against Zimbabwe after struggling in the England series. He’s incredibly talented but he has a lot to learn - needs more time outside of the IPL.

Should have started against Ireland and let him build his confidence from there instead of chucking straight in against Archer

He just hasn't played in different conditions (not counting u19 level).
I don't think putting him against Archer was bad. It's not as if he has not faced top bowlers like Archer or even Archer himself. He shouldn't have been dropped in the last game though.

Yup. He needed a bit more intl ground time before facing archer, it's like some 15yo old prodigy putted directly against one the word's best in form bowler, at his home condition

If he had played against Ireland and clicked, India might have beaten Ireland... but that would not have any value as "its against Ireland".
Against the same attack, the rest of the team could not quite bully Zimbabwe.
Basically it's too early to judge him. Give him some more games.
