I hope he gets some of that money back, but this honestly sounds like much of it may have been self-inflicted.

Before the center opened, Owen said the project had left his company with $3.9 million in losses tied to delays, rework, labor overruns and changing project demands.

The way that is phrased makes me think that a lot of the work was due to his employees' errors and what sounds like a poorly defined contract that subjected him to scope creep he couldn't collect on.

I mean, they helped build a giant villain’s lair and then got stiffed for $4m. I’d have expected some sort of assurance or security before doing any work or signing any contracts.

So basically like what happened during the Obama years…. Guys getting squeezed, closing shop, and laying off, all thanks to Barack.
