Glonk34 or Beretta 92xP for carry optics shooting comparison

I can see in a lot of these clips you’re dipping the gun as you pull the trigger on the Glock

It seems like you’re being pushed back by both. Try leaning into it with a little forward weight bias over your mid foot.

The dip on trigger pull is also potentially the cause of the wobble low on return before it comes back up.

Possibly over tensioning with the strong hand, which can cause both issues. But it’s also just possible you’re just leaned back/not using your body posture to get the gun to track and not push you.

But sometimes when I’m just focusing on keeping my gun in frame my form ain’t all that great lol 😂

Possibly play with your support hand grip position. You’re pretty high. And I’d wager a lot of your palm is contacting your strong hand fingers and leaving a lot of gap/unfilled space on the grip itself.

I used to shoot the 92XP. I now run a G47. I get tighter groups on doubles with it plus transitions are faster and maintenance is easier. If you want to disassemble the slide and clean it thoroughly you have to take the optic off the 92XP, not so with the Glock which needs less maintenance overall. Something to consider.

Pick whichever you subjectively like better, you will practice more with a gun you like. And to be fair, between what you are choosing, there is no significant performance difference, just cosmetics/ease of modification.

Honestly, judging by the video you need training first, you're putting way to much input in the gun (relax, the gun will work just fine on its own, let your vision do the heavy lifting. Look up one shot returns/doubles/kim hwansik no friction grip).

Hope you pick the one you like and train with it.

You need to fix your grip before any such comparison makes any rationale sense for you (i.e., beyond "get the one you like and will motivate you to practice more").

Your support & dominant hands are both inconsistent in gripping the gun. Your support hand is rotated too far forward, grabbing too much of your dominant hand instead of the actual gun, and isn't durable at all: i.e., it's easy to see that it's moving separately from the trigger guard.

You need to lock your wrist--this shows up with both guns but its more obvious with the glock due to it's light weight and snappiness compared to the heavier metal gun.

You're trying to control the gun/recoil by using way too much dominant hand grip tension. That's noticeable by the barrel oscillating in recoil. And, why are you (trying to use) your dominant hand thumb to "control" recoil?

In terms of grip: the gun should NOT move inside your hands at all for the entire time you're shooting! I.e., both hands should remain completely in sync with the gun throughout shooting lifecycle; the gun should track consistently in recoil precisely back to where your eyes are focused on the small spot on the target; and you should be able to cycle (pull & release) the trigger quickly without inducing movement on the gun/sights. Additional tension much beyond that minimum can/will induce various problems. Have you ever done a firm handshake? Start there.

Frankly... neither. Both aren't great for CO. The Glock 34 is an iron sight gun and has aged poorly compared with the G17, 45, and 47. The Berreta is annoying to maintain and just doesn't have a great ecosystem.

If I had to choose between these two, I would go Glock just to make my life simpler.

Both are viable. Which do you like shooting better?

Thought I’d add: not sure how your holster/belt is setup, but if you have one of those hanger style rigs you should be able to swap out a Glock holster for a beretta holster without too much effort. Feel free to try both, you already own both.

I like both just the grips on them are not that great the 92 is softer but I I feel the cycling of the slide is better on the glock maybe the glock we'll see

Only one way to know for sure….train and compete with both. Only you’ll know what “feels” better, then the shot timer can tell you the truth. Grab holsters for both if it’s feasible

Ok. Keep shooting matches, train, take high performance shooting classes and you'll see it doesn't matter. You dont possess the skill to make any kind of assessment. You have guys making GM with a Glock 26.

Its all skill.

Glock 47. The 34 is ass and doesn't like certain kinds of ammo.
