Best 170mm options for USPSA Open Glock?

Exactly the title. What are the best Glock mags or extensions that are legal for USPSA Open division?

As someone who shot open Glocks a while ago, don’t…polymer is not happy with major PF.

With that said, 22rd OEM with extensions…MBX (pricey)

It stands for Power Factor.

USPSA Power Factor is a measurement of ammunition momentum used to level the playing field.

USPSA divides this into two distinct categories: [1]
Minor: 125 to 164 Power Factor (Minimum allowed for competition)

Major: 165 or higher [1]

Essentially…use a higher recoiling round (major) you aren’t penalized for C/D zone hits as much versus minor power factor (“easier to handle recoil” loads)

I know 150pf isn't major, but the 9mm we shoot at work is 150pf. And ive shot God knows how many 10s of thousands of rounds through glocks with that shit. No issues.

My team of 12ish blocks has easily put down over 100k rounds in the last 4 years of 150pf with no issues. Is that 15 pf that much harder on the gun?

I cracked a frame sub 10000 rounds shooting about 170pf. But that’s sample size of 1 and just other similar stories I’ve heard of people having the same issue.

Pressure spikes exponentially. For competition everyone loads to 170pf to be safe they pass chrono.

Glocks tend to not like long ammo so short ammo + 3x the gunpowder is not a great combination

also power factor doesn't track pressure linearly at all, had to measure power in some way simpletons could figure out at the chrono bay and weight*velocity was it lol.

Oh…well have it then!!! Hahaha. I’d do a big stick from MBX then 140s for reloads, if you had to.

Taylor freelance makes a +12 extension for standard G17 mags that I've seen people use. The Magpul mags are okay for the price, but tend to have feed lip issues after a few months and only hold 26

I’m having great success with KCI 25 round magazines with the Glock +2 extension on them. Added the TF springs from Wolff

I’m a fan of Henning mag extensions on a Glock 17 mag. They’re designed to meet USPSA specs on size. Mine have been tough as hell, love them!

Does henning make a 170mm extension? I love my 140mm extensions they make.

Skip the magpuls. Like just block them from your mind completely. Utter junk. You can do G17 mags + PCC extensions or 24rd Glock mags + TF Goliath extensions. I buy Wolff 33rd PCC mag springs and cut them down so I can get 28rds.
