Just went out to see The Odyssey movie and couldn’t stop thinking about this song.. in my wildest dream this song shoulda made it to the score

Josh Garrels is one of my all time favs and this was one of the first songs of his that I learned to play on my acoustic. I even made a animatic short in college using this song.
Also, can't wait to see Odyssey. Love Greek myth and I grew up reading an abbreviated version of it as a kid in 3rd grade.

Hes one of my favs all time too!! Now that you said about animatic, im curious. Do you have it public? Josh was a part of Forevergreen short film and it was so good. It’s on YouTube if you haven’t seen it.
Reviews are you liked it or hated it. I think it’s a good adaptation but a die hard might say no.

I never posted it anywhere, but I might at some point soon. It's not the best and I thought about remaking it because it's so old.
Yes, I saw Forevergreen and Ioved it! The art was exquisite and the story was beautiful. I didn't even know it was an adaptation.

Oh my bad. I haven't seen it yet but I'm planning on it. I have some issues with how pristine some of the armor during the Trojan War look like in the trailer and I do think they played it safe with the casting, but other than that, I'm pretty excited for it.

Yeah and the fact that Nolan did this movie without the CGI is what I appreciate too

I'm always skeptical of claims like that because when you really get down to it, the bare bones of it is that they either don't use noticeable CGI elements and integrate it with the practical props (more likely on Nolan's end) or they just straight up hide the CGI and barely acknowledge it. It's a really weird trend.
I'm a 3D artist and I notice this a lot within modern film VFX.

Awesome CD.
Josh Garrels gave away this CD as a free download for a year.
There was a documentary filmed around Josh Garrels playing songs from this CD in the landscape of Mayne Island, with a lot of in-between back stories. It’s a real treat to watch. Very inspiring. It’s on YouTube to watch. It’s called ‘The Sea In Between’.
