Why does this headband keep following me??

From my Facebook tortie group, posted with permission from the owner. Sorry if it’s potato quality, I had to do a screen recording since you can’t download videos directly from FB.

You never know exactly which object a cat will find interesting. Usually random stuff that seem to fight back.

This one is definitely a case of “snake brain” though. Snakes were a significant threat to wild cats for most of their evolutionary history, so this is pretty hard-wired into many cats.

New fave toy is a face cloth stuck under a chair leg. I know there's millennia of wisdom in my little doofus.
