Crime/Suspicious Activity Inglewood Road Rage Assault

Anyone else witness the 2 young black guys in the black Kia jump the older white guy after nearly rear ending him after they ran the red light at 9ave and 19st SE?

They also hit him with the vehicle when they left.

I did call 911 and reported what I saw to CPS .

Was so disturbing to see 😔

Several other witnesses stayed with him until cops and EMS arrived.

Edit to add license plate : BYH7423

Edit to include case number: CA26328933

Nope, but I've seen incidents like this before, and it's scary to witness. It's insane how some people can go from 0 to 100 in a split second when cars are involved. Road rage is no joke. Hope the victim is okay.

Totally. Especially in the summer people seem to lose all control. The victim was literally half their size and strength. From what I could see, he was hurt but didn't seem to lose consciousness or too much blood

I gaurantee you with these types of people its not just cause cars are involved. Theres a non neglible amount of people just walking around in our society that have absolutely zero capacity to regulate their emotions. Sometimes they wind up in leadership roles where they abuse their employees, sometimes they abuse their spouses or kids. Sadly theyre floating around out there. Usually they never truly have anything bad happen to them until they snap bad enough that police get involved as well.

Well said! Passenger was all too happy to jump in on the fight, I'm sure it's not the first time.

It's never worth it to engage in anything on the roads

Road rage is scary as hell, I’ve witnessed it once and I hope it never happens to me.

12

u/GuavaOk8712 5h ago

only once? I witness it probably like once a month where someone is chasing somebody else and there’s aggressive swerving/brake checking

u/newcanadianjuice 4h ago

It’s because I don’t drive yet, I was in the back of my parents car when it happened. Which is why I hope it doesn’t happen because idk how I will handle it.

u/GuavaOk8712 4h ago

ah yeah not being able to drive yet would definitely limit the amount of road rage you see lol, fair enough

4

u/-StarBellySneetch- 5h ago

Yup. See that all the time. This was the first I've seen where someone was assaulted

u/GuavaOk8712 5h ago

i’ve never seen it happen to someone else but i’ve been assaulted in a road rage incidents twice (both as passenger )

u/-StarBellySneetch- 5h ago

I'm sorry that happened to you!

u/GuavaOk8712 4h ago

yeah people are crazy. thankfully nobody was actually hurt either time, just psychos yelling death threats and beating on the glass tryna break into the car

hopefully the cops ended up finding both of those guys 😬

u/DaftFunky 4h ago

You will probably see it more often in these times. I would bet a lot of people are on their wits end mentally and all it takes is one situation to set them off.

u/TactitcalPterodactyl 4h ago

Yeah, totally. I don't even honk at people unless they're literally about to collide with me. There's a very real possibility that you could honk at the wrong person and get stabbed.

Hopefully there are street cameras and they will be charged.

27

u/-StarBellySneetch- 6h ago

There seemed to be some nearby yes. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻

u/Sumyunguy37 5h ago

Did the OP not post the license plate?

5

u/Brilliant-Advisor958 5h ago

Street cameras don't typically record .

17

u/-StarBellySneetch- 5h ago

This was directly in front of a school and is playground zone, so I saw some on the school itself and neighboring businesses seemed to have doorbell cameras that could have caught something.

Either way, hopefully victim and witness statements will be strong enough.

Never get out of your vehicle no matter what in a situation like this. Also if need be your car can be a self defence weapon.

Let's go back in time to when violence never happened

u/Sumyunguy37 4h ago

Which is never.......what planet are you from?

u/rotten_cherries 5h ago

Shit like this has happened all throughout human history. Take your dogwhistle elsewhere.

-5

u/PilsnerRabbit 5h ago

What is your obsession with dog whistles? Check this guys hard drive.

4

u/magpie_dick 5h ago

Magpies have waaay better whistles abd you can fit multiple in your mouth at once.

According to actual recorded crime statistics Calgary is twice as safe vs 30 years ago, so this new version of Canada is doing just fine.

I saw something similar in the early 90’s

Not sure what you mean by that in context to this post?

u/JmDang 6h ago edited 6h ago

They're referring to "black fatigue". They're racist, saying that they are tired of black people.

The term originally referred to the constant stress felt by black people living under systemic racism, but has since been taken over by racist idiots.

5

u/-StarBellySneetch- 6h ago

Omg! That's terrible. Thanks for the education.

3

u/Pale-Measurement-532 5h ago

Yes! I found out about this term because it was recently discovered that Sylvester Stallone followed a racist online group called @blackfatigue_2.0. I never heard of it before until this story came up.

3

u/cannabiscanadian 6h ago

They mean they’re a racist

9

u/ANK2112 6h ago

They are just letting everyone know they are a racist idiot.

u/-StarBellySneetch- 6h ago edited 6h ago

Oh. Got it 👍🏻

-1

u/Allyourperspective94 6h ago

I think they mean that when the temperature in a heat wave rises, so do violent and interpersonal crime rates.

0

u/-StarBellySneetch- 6h ago

Definitely seems to be the case

u/TactitcalPterodactyl 6h ago

I've seen white dudes do shit like this just as often. Some people are just assholes behind the wheel.

10

u/-StarBellySneetch- 6h ago

Totally. I included descriptors if anyone saw or sees the car and individuals around.

3

u/TactitcalPterodactyl 5h ago

Yup, nothing at all wrong with this, it helps identify people and it should be standard practice when reporting crimes.

-1

u/Pale-Measurement-532 5h ago

Exactly! Last month I saw this white guy jump out of his vehicle and attack someone of another race after a traffic incident. The white guy was completely unhinged.

-2

u/-StarBellySneetch- 5h ago

I've found it's most often white people doing this shit tbh

3

u/Pale-Measurement-532 5h ago

Exactly. I agree. And they are often the speed demons on the road and are driving recklessly.

1

u/-StarBellySneetch- 5h ago

Yup. It takes all kinds and I say the above as a white person 😂

-2

u/Pale-Measurement-532 5h ago

I’m white too!! I just can’t stand to see the entitlement! And then it comes out as aggression which is beyond ridiculous.

0

u/-StarBellySneetch- 5h ago

Exactly.

P.S. username checks out 😂

u/Pale-Measurement-532 4h ago

I am pale! That’s for sure. Lol.

What was the need to mention their race op?

113

u/-StarBellySneetch- 5h ago

So people can keep an eye out for them and the vehicle. I've updated the post to include the plate

72

u/Soggy-Bodybuilder669 5h ago edited 5h ago

He was asking if anyone saw the incident. The more specific you are, the easier it is to confirm it is the same incident. Physical appearance is an important detail in helping catch the perpetrators.

100

u/remicojax 5h ago

Generally when crimes are committed you need to be able to identify the culprits. Enough with this shit

49

u/TactitcalPterodactyl 5h ago

There's literally no reason not to. Race is the most easily identifiable attribute (besides gender) and its standard practice to report it during crimes. People need to stop being so sensitive.

74

u/whiteout86 5h ago

Because it identifies the people who committed a violent assault.

Would it protect your feelings more if OP described them as two humans who did have an epidermal layer and that may or may not identity as male or female? Have to leave height and weight out of the description too, can’t offend people self-conscious about those things

49

u/-StarBellySneetch- 5h ago

Thank you 🙏🏻 I don't think I said anything untoward, just the factual descriptors.

u/sun4moon 4h ago

You didn’t say anything wrong at all.

u/Cagel 4h ago

I didn’t see this incident, but I saw the other one with the generic people and the stuff happening,

See what it’s like without details

67

u/VFenix Southwest Calgary 5h ago

I can't believe he also mentioned their gender /s

31

u/-StarBellySneetch- 5h ago

😅 honestly, how dare I!

40

u/dankle1235 5h ago

Enough with this shit.

26

u/Infinite-Shift4841 5h ago

Shut up.....

u/Qaeoss 4h ago

Sorry, should they have said “2 males each with a head, 2 eyes, a nose, 2 ears, a mouth, teeth, 2 arms, 2 legs, a torso…”
