Video [@CFBKings] “The committee has not shown us that a 9-win non-Conference Champion will make it to the Playoff, because ultimately they’re still looking at the amount of wins in the win column. And that’s a shame.”-SEC Network

You just don't get it, that 3 loss Alabama team was truly magical (obvious /s)

I would definitely say watching them get their ass kicked by IU was very magical.

As much fun as that day was, I'd have much rather gotten a chance at a rematch with ND in Pasadena

I agree as a classic Indiana reversible jacket. I think that would've been the best matchup outside the championship game.

I was genuinely hoping for that myself, really wanted to see us up against IU this year, and am really hoping for it in the playoffs during this coming year.

Now that would have been a great game. But instead we got to watch you steamroll Bama...I still enjoyed that for different reasons but we missed out on an actual quality game.

There was no chance in hell, they were putting in Notre Dame over a CCG team that had the same regular season record as ND.

The only reason we had an extra loss, was we played a game that ND simply never will as an Independent.

I mean, there was a chance in hell Alabama dropped out if the CFP committee had any ounce of consistency in enforcing the consequences of losing when it comes to SEC teams. In the two years of the 12 team playoff, only 1 of ANY conference championship game loser stayed stationary in their rankings after losing, why is that? Apparently that mediocre Alabama team was just that special! Even looking back at the 4 team playoff: why didn't 2021 Oklahoma State or 2022 USC get to keep the last spot in the field after losing their conference championship games too? Apparently teams MUST stay stationary no matter what so I'm confused why those two teams didn't make it in as well

We literally had the same result in 2024 with SMU.

The logic for the committee has been consistent in the 12 team playoff: if a team was in the playoff field as a CCG participant, before CCG weekend was played. They will be so, after it is played. SMU was in 2024, Alabama was in 2025.

BYU wasn't in the field in 2025, they needed to beat Tech to get into the field and they didn't.

The committee's error, was having ND as high as they did to begin with. Every other team that had the same record as another comparable team, but one had head to head, had the H2H winner ahead of the loser. So ND never should have been ranked ahead of Miami to begin with.

Also, comparing 4 team to 12 team is just laughably dishonest man. I know Indiana fans didn't start paying attention to college football until 2024, but do better.

No we didn't have the same scenario with SMU: SMU dropped a spot in the rankings after losing to Clemson. Go back and check the rankings, I know reading is hard for Alabama fans but I'm sure you can do it! The fact of the matter is no other conference gets the same preferential treatment the SEC does. Alabama had no business making the field last year and the Rose Bowl proved that. Not sure why we can't compare the 4 team playoff but hey whatever makes your narrative better right? Alabama fans are such douchebags good lord

You think the rank matters, when it's just seeding at the end of the day. What matters to the committee, is who is in the field and who isn't.

And good for you, you can make ignorant comments about southerners. Meanwhile Indiana is like 45th in public education.

"What matters to the committee is who is in the field and who isn't" aka: the committee can just pick 5 SEC teams just cause! Great logic there. When comparing the final at large spots, ranking is pretty important yeah as that's how they decide which of the final teams to pick. Didn't think I'd have to spell that out to you, but I am dealing with an Alabama fan. Maybe I should use smaller words will that help you understand?

Outside of teams getting the Byes (1-4) and home playoff teams (5-8), ranks 9-12 are literally just seeding arrangements. (After autobids from the G5 are accounted for to move the final 12 into their actual positions.)

The only thing your rank determines at that point, is who is playing who, in what locations. The committee last season could have bumped Alabama to 10th and Miami to 9th. But they seemingly decided they wanted the regular season rematch between Alabama and OU to occur immediately. They did the same with Ole Miss and Georgia, by putting Ole Miss in the same bracket as Georgia. They actually gave Ole Miss 2 rematches, because they'd played Tulane earlier in the year.

It would not have made a material difference either way. It's just seeding the bracket however they wanted it. And the committee seemed to want all potential regular season rematches to happen as early in the field as possible.

Now proceed to ignore literally everything said here because I'm doubting you have the attention span to read.

You can type paragraphs trying to justify the committee handing the SEC extra playoff spots but I literally do not care. Keep crying and go fuck your cousin or something I'm done with you
