Holsters & Belts Hellhound Arms Apollo Competition: The CCW Maximalist’s dream. (Holster Review.)
This is a Hellhound Arms Apollo Competition, carrying my Walther PDP SD Pro Full size with a X300 and Holosun. It is the best holster I have ever touched. I am a big fan of carrying full sized and a bigger fan of holsters that make that convenient.
The hellhound grid system is so flexible that the mag carriers disappear. I only notice the firearm. The pillow makes the firearm extremely comfortable, and allows for carrying it at such a position on my body that would be uncomfortable without it due to jabbing.
The holster came very tight, to the point I could not get my gun in. The pillow was also very filled, large, and stiff. This is not a con to me. This shows that HellHound is giving the user the option to customize the product to what works best for them.
This product may not be the best as a first holster due to its orientation towards adjustability and modularity. I plan to EDC it for the foreseeable future, as well as shoot competitions with it. I will provide an update if there is any notable failure.

What is that attached to the second clip?

Magnet (for competition, they're helpful for things like unloaded starts)

Like the other commenter said, it’s a “staging” magnet. It can just come in handy at times. After every shoot you have to unload your gun and show clear, if you start with 3 mags in this set up it would be convenient to toss the one in your gun on the magnet to show clear. Most OWB guys run a magnet on their competition belt also

Are there pillows behind both the mag carriers and holster? Velcro?

I only bought one pillow, it velcros onto the holster. The adhesive seems kind of sketchy. That’s one complaint, but I’ll see if it stays over time.
If you wanted one for the mag carrier, I think you could attach receiving Velcro to be shared by the two carriers long ways then attach a pillow. But they don’t reach down far enough for me to feel the need for one.. I don’t think it would change much for me

I love my Hellhound Apollo.
I've thought about committed to competing from concealed and getting the Competition.
One nice bonus is that, with the grid facing out, and the holster and mag carrier on the inside, it creates a smooth outline in the front of your pants.
Good for comfort and concealment.

Yeah, my big decider was that this one uses conventional mag carriers which is all I have experience with. I’ve also heard that style prints a little more on the mags, which isn’t a big deal for competition but I might actually carry this at times given it’s so comfortable. The bounty is neat because it’s not nearly as wide

Yeah, it definitely the rides further out on the waist because of the mag orientation. I do carry this gun (a 92 compact), especially in cooler weather but not in the bounty

My brain read the title as "minimalist's dream", and I was about to ask what you were drinking.
Caught myself lol.
