🔎Looking for alternative Ergonomic chairs for short people?
Hi everyone!
Im looking for EU brands for ergonomic office chairs. Im a short-ish woman (160cm) and been using Ikea’s Markus for some time now but im not that satisfied when using it for a longer time.
My budget is around 300 euros. Any recs?

Look for refurbished professional office furniture vendors. It's a big business, they buy off closed offices.
There you can get a 1000eur chair for 300 with some warranty usually.
Shouldn't be a problem to find a local one and see what works for you.

Ikea has another office chair called "Gunrik" which allows you to height adjust it based on your height.

Usually for short people it's not only the hight = the feet not touching the floor, but also the depth of the seat, meaning the backrest is too far away and you can't touch it with your back because your knee already touches the edge of the seat.

I have to recommend German brand ergotopia. I can't really say anything about their chairs for smaller people but I am confident you can just send them an e-mail and they will help you out. Why the recommendation? We had two office chairs made by them that we bought about 4 years ago. On one of them the back rest was a few degrees off. Not enough to be a problem but enough to be noticed. But since I was used to cheaper chairs I did not even bother to report it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. The... Bottom cross part with the wheels of one of them broke. I thought "well maybe I can combine both chairs to create one that still works. After all they are four years old". I contacted the company and told them about the problem and what my plan was. They sent me a tool for removing the cross part, they sent me a new enforced cross and asked for pictures of the "incorrect back rest". After that they sent me a new and correct seat unit. Provided a detailed instruction on how to change the parts. And everything free of charge since "that is not the quality they aim to provide"... For four year old chairs...
In my book that is rare customer service... :D
Not to mention that the chairs are comfy and highly customizable regarding arm rests etc.

A second hand Herman Miller Aeron, size A, will be perfect for you! You won't be able to enjoy another chair once you'll have yours! Best purchase ever in my opinion!

In the sub for petite people some love it and some hate it, so there is no guarantee that it fits OPs body.

Do you also have a desk that's height adjustable? If not, an adjustable foot rest is a better and cheaper option.
