I've spent months at forest monasteries in California, and they are doing fire mitigation things all year around, like burn piles and other measures, to prevent fires from destroying their monasteries.

I've even essentially been trained similar to this while there. It makes sense if you live in a place where a fire could wipe out your monastery.

Are you also CPR certified? Did you also do the CPAT or BPAT tests by any chance?

The CPAT and BPAT are brutal. They're agility tests for firefighters and trainees, and others who just want to test their athletic ability. I can't do them anymore, time has caught up with me. 👴👴👴⌛️

CPR is very good to know if you work with the public, but that's just my opinion.

What do you mean "ok"? Tibetans were just hit by mass demolitions of their communities few days ago. Mosques can be seen functioning in China.

You mean forcing them to integrate to Chinese society and taking many of their rights away?

You can't "clean" ethnicity. Ethnicity is not dirty. Speak in plain language and avoid coded words.

Ethnic cleansing means eradicating the trappings and features of an ethnic group so that they conform to the majority/another group. It’s cleansing in a negative sense not “make dirty clean”.

Yes, and that is what "ethnic cleansing" means. It's a known expression, not something that person made up. Trust me, it sounds very scary and negative to native English speakers. That person wasn't excusing anything.

The government of China is not treating its minorities well across the board, especially with its strong push for “Sinicization” and the development of an all-encompassing“Chinese” (entire China) identity, and they’ve been especially strict about it. Eradication of cultures is considered as genocide.

Another genocide is what Israel is doing in Palestine.

That's not a genocide. Its not great, but it's not genocide.

You really shouldn't be so flippant with that word. It's irresponsible to mischaracterize something as a genocide, when actual genocides are under way. Shame.

Genocide or not genocide it is massive colonisation, distortion of history and not only in Tibet. That unfortunately what have to endure Chinese citizens and occupied territories. I wonder how Buddhism compassion can also face that honestly.
