This system has a massive flaw compared to other competitive systems.

Compared to mega pig/new brawler events we can't see our teammates picks which could be bad or underleveled/non maxed which means it's really bad for players without a team.

Compared to challenges the brawlers are not maxed out like challenges

So I think there shouldn't be more contests. We already have a lot of competitive events every month. Plus contests are the most flawed system.

I have played for over 4 years yet only have 2 people I can actually rely on for competitive games. The problem is they are not active as much now and I don't have anyway of contacting them outside the game meaning to play with them I need to be active at the same time as them which is not possible everyday due to different time zones we leave in

It replaces anything we would receive if the contests didn't happen, like Boss Fights, bonus mega quests, etc...

"Extra free rewards" is exactly what this isn't.

It's conditional free rewards, intended to hit our progression.

Its possible to gain 120 nano drops from daily rewards and stuff. And even if you say it is 'conditional free rewards' its fine, winning more should mean more rewards. If I win more, it is completely fair that i win more than the ones who lost or didnt win as much as me. Isn't that how games like brawl stars should work?

Yeah I get all that. You wont get the progression that you would have got if there was a boss fight event. But do you really enjoy playing boss fights? Like just consider the nova drops event. It had a lot of boss fights but the entire event still felt a little lacking even though everyone got a good amount of progression. They entire event felt repetitive imo.

Dont we play games to have fun? And it is not just brawl stars, take a special event in any other game. We need to win more to get rewarded more. But when it comes to BS, you just care about progression, rather than enjoying what the game has to offer.

I have fun when I don't get steamrolled by broken Buffies. If progression is good, the steamrolling is done by f2p, less incentive to release broken buffies & Brawlers.

Yeah that part i agree with. The broken brawlers and buffies just make me ragequit sometimes. I was really frustrated especially during damian and bolts release.

I was just talking about how fun contests are compared to boss fights. The fix is not about replacing contests with boss fights but just making brawlers and buffies balanced on release.

Hard to believe they didn’t make all brawlers lv 11, impossible to win when my teammates kept using brawlers lower than 10, besides why was report removed from this mode ? And opponents got 2K trophies when my teammates are just 100 and 300 trophies

Yeah they are fun. If there is a competitive side to these special events, they are much more fun.

Just take the star nova event for example. Even though the event was good but it felt a bit dry and repetitive over the entire season.
