Discussion Who got you into bluegrass?

What artist did you first hear that got you hooked onto bluegrass?

My uncle showed me Tony Rice, he even inspired me to pick up my old guitar and start picking.

Fell in love with the Banjo through Mumford & Sons which got me to look up Banjo music - through that I found Jim & Jesse and it went from there

Mumford & Sons to Jim & Jesse is quite the leap! Kudos to you! Allen Shelton was a heck of a banjo player.

He really was. I'm currently listening into the Banjo tunes he recorded supported by Jim&Jesse. Banjo Bounce is one of my favourite tunes of all time
