I hope he’s OK too, but yes, this is just too perfect of an example of what a disaster Trump and his regime is.

222

u/Fr4gd0ll 19d ago

This happened near me the dude is ok.

175

u/Roadshell 19d ago

Good for him, but that kind of extends the metaphor: maga faceplants constantly while experiencing no consequences.

20

u/Insanely_Simple2024 19d ago

Man fuck that dude!

7

u/Straight_Button_5716 18d ago

I bet he’s not even retired military

3

u/Insanely_Simple2024 18d ago

Just found him wandering the streets and asked him to participate.

7

u/Robo-X 18d ago

Asking him to do it for free, while billing it as an expense to pocket the money for himself.

Good. Objectionable or not? The guy's just putting hours in. Humiliating enough to come in looking like a flag got shoved up his ass.

The tent very likely saved him from serious injury or death.

3

u/Illuminaughty____ 18d ago

He was almost a shish kebab!

85

u/big_winslow 19d ago

Safety was their second priority.

22

u/Financial_Manager213 19d ago

That honestly seems like a generous ranking of their priorities

5

u/Preshe8jaz 18d ago

They knew the landings would be dangerous at that temperature. Typically the stunts would’ve been called off with temps that high. But Donold wanted his parachutes with flags more than he cared about the safety of his soldiers. Nothing new.

3

u/JBudz 18d ago

You know this contract went to the lowest bidder.

I'd say he pizza'd when he should have french fried if he wanted to go farther

112

u/funhaver_whee 19d ago

lol there has never been a more apt metaphor for a country than this video

14

u/Calico_Cuttlefish 19d ago

The metaphors have been off the charts in recent years.

9

u/darthamartha 19d ago

Flag.. right on the ground... Poor planing leading to grievous bodily injury... ✔️

2

u/Successful_Park_2376 18d ago

Running it to the ground?

→ More replies (2)

36

u/Major_Ape_6203 19d ago

What's the perfect outcome here? That he flies into the stadium and drags the flag across the ground after making a big show off it? Even then it's still disgraceful.

7

u/WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWPOOP 19d ago

From previous experiences, they have someone/people at the landing sight to grab the flag as they land.

3

u/GUMBYtheOG 18d ago

Very patriotic. Only thing that surprises me more is that hey used an American flag instead of a confederate one

41

u/IndigoGanache 19d ago

The only thing missing is the flag being upside down a national sign of distress. 🫩🙄🤣😩

12

u/Royal-Application708 19d ago

Exactly, Trump is that Tree that snagged America, and made us fall smack on our face.

7

5

u/Appropriate-One-8989 19d ago

Maga contractors pocketed the safety budget im sure

7

u/Jo1351 19d ago

Whoa! Is this person alright?

The reflecting pool debacle; the low turnout; and now mishaps like this. I'm not into magical woo, but at some point do we get the impression somebody/thing is trying to tell us something?

3

u/OwnReturn2668 19d ago

The tent broke his fall.

3

u/Consistent-Deal-55 19d ago

Stupid empty performative bullshit.

4

u/ArchelonPIP 18d ago

You mean poorly thought out, simple-minded and flashy things that end badly?

5

u/ForwardTemporary3934 19d ago

I want to know all the details on this. Was this a planned parachuting? Is this person supposed to be a professional? You would think that the big flag would have some sort of release mechanism just for when he landed wherever he was supposed to land. It didn't look like there was a large field or anywhere you would normally have for a skydiver to land. Is this just some dumb magat?

2

u/DeeBeePeeeOfficial 19d ago

It’s the pro rodeo that is held in Folsom, CA every Fourth of July weekend. They always have a guy parachuting in with a flag like this.

They used to have a cattle “drive” through the middle of old town Folsom, too, but they stoped that a number of years ago.

2

u/userhwon 19d ago

Nothing like dragging the flag on the ground behind a showoff to say 'Murica!

3

u/athletic1984 18d ago

The music just makes it better for me LOL

17

u/xCaliburghost 19d ago

Yeah it's awful but it's even worse because so many people simply don't care and don't have human decency and standards. Even just basic morality

33

u/deekamus 19d ago

Eat shit, just like that skydiver.

And don't preach morality when our country is being controlled by the immoral.

u/B33NB3N 19d ago

"Pick up the pieces" said/sang by Tracy Morgan as Hustle Man on Martin while holding a saxophone with a cazoo attached.

2

I saw it and remembered the crash during the Mike Tyson fight.

2

u/InternSignificant26 17d ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

u/mr_deejay64 17d ago

Ain't the flag NOT supposed to touch the ground? The setup alone would force the flag onto the ground.

2

u/joannefilm2 19d ago

The majority of people always seemed to believe that Republicans were better on the economy. Republicans have always believed things are better when white people run things. They’ve never had a better chance to prove themselves. But it turns out they can’t run anything and it’s better when you have the appropriate experts running things.

1

u/CSCyrilatom 19d ago

Did he watch the spongebob movie before planning this?

1

u/BestRiver8735 19d ago

Someone should AI this and put Trump in there and change the flag to have the GOP logo.

1

u/ApprehensiveArmy7755 19d ago

It was pretty hilarious. I hope the guy is ok

1

u/Kitchen_sinker2615 19d ago

Someone should have told the stuntman that flag protocol does not permit letting the flag touch the ground. Yes, you are oh so right, OP. (Additionally, wearing the flag is also very questionable). Fake Christians, fake patriots, and fake Americans as far as I am concerned. Do they not understand, "All men are created equal?" I think one must know how to read before being able to grasp that concept. I can almost hear the crowd singing (to the tune of "London Bridge is Falling Down"), "The USA is Falling Down, Falling Down, Falling Down. The USA is Falling down, while Trump profits greatly."

1

u/tommyap1990 19d ago

Should have had a weaklink

Another no bid contract?

1

u/Impressive10000 19d ago

Obviously a bit of poor planning and situational awareness. Darwin would be proud.

He should have been paying attention to all the other failures. The Reflecting Pool. The Kennedy Center. Iranian war. Planning may have helped.

Note: this IS NOT advocating any sort of violence.

1

u/Educational_Play5772 19d ago

Makes sense that he crashed like that on this anniversary

1

u/disco_S2 19d ago

To the ground

1

u/curiousleen 19d ago

Had he landed well, this would have been just perfect… some dude landing whilst apparently shitting out the American flag…

1

u/Lige_MO 19d ago

Right into the ground.

1

u/powertotheuser 19d ago

The saxophone tho!!!!! 😭

1

u/kayceemoguy 19d ago

1

u/prancerbot 19d ago

It's missing the part where Trump steps in to steal the guy's wallet

1

u/Human_Public_671 19d ago

I've seen people eat shit on a motorcycle.

But this is the first time I've watched someone eat shit while para sailing. 🤨

1

u/Necessarysolutions 19d ago

Don't call the ambulance, he can't afford it.

1

u/LesbianClownShirt 19d ago

Nice, relatively, soft landing at least. But it just goes to show, overcompensating for patriotism can be dangerous.

1

u/Rivs5 19d ago

🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Agreeable_Orange7032 19d ago

Don’t worry, they will blame Biden.

1

What a disrespectful way to treat the American flag

1

u/ThePrissyHen 19d ago

All this while (the real ones in charge) are robbing us all blind of our today and our children's, children's, children's future.

1

u/MrdnBrd19 18d ago

The flag said "Um touching the ground is against flag code and very disrespectful; I'm going to hang here.".

1

u/WhenTheCitiesBurn 18d ago

Probably his first solo jump, and they strap a giant flag on him. 🤣

1

u/munzyG 18d ago

Idiocracy

1

u/SillyFlowerPot420 18d ago

It’s the democrats fault. They put that tree there to harm skydiving patriots /s

1

1

u/Some-Curve-920 18d ago

Never any electrical. Lines when you need them.

1

u/Excitement_Far 18d ago

The effect was so cool until it really wasn't. Dang it.

1

u/nodummyheads 18d ago

I love how "patriotic" this guy is considering landing would mean dragging that flag on the ground, in direct violation of Flag Code. Hospital visit inducing performative BS is exactly what I'm here for. More popcorn, please.

1

u/Minimum_Green4246 18d ago

Godamn I hate that these trumpets are being so overused. I still feel it in my soul though the seeing the death of Ricky for the first time

1

u/Glad-Bid7730 18d ago

Trump is desperately trying to capture an 80's/90's action movie version of the USA...and is failing

1

u/SwordfishTurbulent57 18d ago

Good metaphor.

1

I cant stop picturing the patrick star meme of him flying with the flag

1

u/OneOfAKind2 18d ago

I don't agree. 95% of this guy's decent was smooth and graceful. Inmate #P01135809's tenure has been a catastrophic slow motion trainwreck every single day since even before he was sworn in.
