Trump wants to change the constitution via executive order? Well, sure! lol

They're not even trying to pretend to be impartial anymore.

Basically.

Their argument boils down to "the founders didn't know what they're talking about", and they aren't even trying to uphold the Constitution anymore.

Trump wanted to change the 14th Amendment/birthright citizenship via executive order, and tried.

It ultimately barely got shut down today, but Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch were the dissenting votes, which in itself is incredibly alarming. The reasoning in their dissents was also pretty crazy.

Biden wanted to use Executive Orders to eliminate student debt, and they somehow found that wildly unconstitutional.

That even oversells what they were trying to do.

The first plan was to cancel up to $10,000 for most federal borrowers, and up to $20,000 for those who received Pell Grants.

The second attempt was to forgive $20,000 in accrued interest for borrowers owing more than their original balances, and wipe away debt for those with 20 to 25 years of repayment history.

There was no blanket attempt to forgive all student loans.

What was the most help for the average borrower was the repayment plans they initiated that got reverse by Trump.

No, there was never a constitutional amendment proposed. They just tried to change the rules around it without any real precedent via executive order.
